The classes are very well instructed and fun with lots of regular participants.
Great hours and teachers of classes- I do not like working out by myself, I prefer classes. Bobby (cycle), Bada, Alex (yoga), Tamara (cycle) - all are great. And Staycie, Kundalini yoga- part of the reason I joined the Y, because this style of yoga is hard to find classes for, and it is my favorite.

The staff. Everyone makes every member welcome and, in doing so, creates a general atmosphere of acceptance and respect. The facilities are great too.
Ease of parking, exercise equipment quality and number, the free weights, the pool and sauna, the gym, classes and friendly staff.
I always look forward to going to the Y to work out, socialize, take a shower, and just generally spend quality time. I've been going here for 6 years and only had one minor negative experience with a member (but many people experienced a minor annoyance with this person).
Everyone else is so very helpful and pleasant, both staff and members....
I hope I'm able to continue to go routinely three times/week as I've been doing. After a session at the Y I feel revitalized. Thank you
I absolutely love the Y in Waverly. We got a family membership at no cost because my daughter attends Head Start. There were no issues when we signed up (we are a large family) and no one has ever treated us any different than other families who are currently paying for their membership. The kids room staff remember my daughter's name when we come and the fitness classes offer a wide variety of different styles. I love that the place feels safe without having a thousand different rules to follow which can make kids feel nervous and overwhelmed. I was really impressed when I saw that there are 5 different options for changing areas. Men, women, young boys, young girls and family. That speaks volume to the type of place the Y is. I can have my children changing according to what my comfort level is. The place is kept very clean and the staff at the front entrance couldn't be nicer.
