The Y has a family atmosphere that allows you to develop on an individual basis at your own rate of speed.
I would recommend the Y to a family member in Frederick because they all live in Frederick and not where I live in Westminster MD.
We love the classes (especially Zumba). The family swim time and the splash pad are great. And our little one loves Stay and Play.
We love the friendly staff and the parts of the facility that have been renovated. But the locker rooms could use a big facelift. They feel a little grimy and dated.

Wonderful, clean facility. Friendly staff. Lots of programs. Close to where I live. The only downside for me is that I just use it for the fitness facility and it is a bit pricey when one uses it just for that.
The Y is a great place to exercise and take your kids!
We have a wonderful Y in Carroll County. There are so many options for classes. The employees I've encountered have always been very positive and helpful. The building itself is always very clean. Since I swim about once a week, the pool can sometimes be warmer. Also, the locker room in the winter.
Friendly staff.
The staff is friendly. The facility is always clean. (Thanks Ivy.) The equipment is kept up to date. I like the environment with a family atmosphere (not all muscle heads).
Child care makes it so much easier to enjoy the Y
Yvonne was wonderful. She was so patient and fun. My son learned so much!

I enjoy many classes at the Y and have made many great people there. The environment at the Y is all inclusive, regardless of ability.
Anything a person would want for a healthy life style is available at the Y.

The variety
I love the GRIT class. Instructor is awesome, knowledgeable, and keeps you motivated to work hard.
The instructor was great- wish she was our instructor this round. Probably won’t be returning if we don’t get Ivan again
