Fun and updated equipment
I feel good after working out. Sometimes I have to wait for an exercise machine I want to use, though.
I swim on the masters swim team and the reason I swim there instead of other places is that I love the outdoor pool when the bubble is down as well as the coach of the team, Julie Diblasi, and the people on the team. And I like the gym because I think there is a huge amount of different equipment with a lot to choose from. So many different machines. There are also lots of classes included with the membership. I used to always note the way it never felt crowded. There might be a lot of cars in the parking lot but it never felt too crowded. However that seems to have changed. I have nothing against high school students but sometimes when I go there after work, I feel like I'm in highschool because there are so many of that age group working out. Especially during the summer and on the days they don't have school. I'm not sure when or why that has changed but sometimes it does seem a little over run with highschool students and it wasn't like that in the past.
I like the Small weight workout rooms and equipment on the second floor at Pasadena. Seems like most of the experienced gym people are downstairs. So not so intimating when upstairs. I would also like some just beginner or easier group classes being available for people who work. Maybe one in the weekend and one in the evening.
I think things at the Y are running pretty well right now. I especially appreciate the man who is diligently cleaning in the mornings.
All of them are my favorite
Pickle ball
Has everything that fits my need
Huge facility with tons of equipment, classes, two pools, and day care for parents with kids. Really amazing. And everyone is so helpful!
Good location, friendly staff at check in. Great variety of equipment. Can be tough to dodge some of the really young kids running around the workout areas at times.
I love the Y but I really wish you could get some different group fitness classes. Pre-Covid I had a great schedule with three classes a day, now I' lucky to find one class a day.
Please not more Zumba.
Enjoy swimming
Friendship, convenience and quality equipment.
Variety of equipment
The variety of equipment available and classes offered.
The very friendly staff.
My grandchildren love the climbing wall and the basketball clinic on Wednesday evenings with Dillon. Each one of the staff members is exceptional! They are welcoming, helpful, kind, and especially good with the children. Joining the Y was one of my best 2023 decisions.
the great variety of classes and equipment
I love that is community focused. Not only does it support a fitness, but also a healthy social environment. My wife is working on her bachelors degree and the cafe has been a game changer since she can drop off our toddler at the childrens center and get some work done. Also, the date nights offered have given us an opportunity to have a "village" when we have none available to us. Thank you to the YMCA for helping us stay sane and healthy!
How convenient it is to get there !

Thank you!
Their body pump instructors Tiffany and Jessica are awesome
There is something for everyone in the family to do at the “Y”.
I love the Y but more classes like chair yoga and Pilates need to be offered at times for people who work full time. And the pools need to be warmer in the “dome” months.
Nancy the swim instructor is amazing! She takes very good care of my boys!

I ♥️ Marlene Scott's Yogalates classes on Mon and Wed evenings at 7:30. The workouts, music, and teacher are just what I need each week to keep me motivated. I am 73 and have been working out with Marlene since 2005, and her workouts must be fantastic cause she never looks any older!
