We have both of our kids attending Mathnasium and they enjoy the stars prize system (read extrinsic motivation). They aren't always excited to go, but once in the car they are excited to get into the building and their daily routines. They are usually happy going and coming from Mathnasium. The staff are very good with the children and do their best to make it Fun! We just started a month ago and we know it takes a lot of time and practice to gain Math concepts. We are hoping their confidence grows and that will lead them to enjoying Math more in School!

The building is new and central location. The tutor’s always check on students to see if they need any help. Our son really likes the staff and they know their math.

We have been very happy with Mathnasium. Our child's performance in math has improved and this has been reflected in her grades in school but also in her more functional use of math in day-to-day life. Your facility is presented well, organized, clean and a really nice learning environment. All of the school material is kept at Mathnasium and work completed in-class which takes the stress away from parents. Our son seems motivated and actually enjoys going to classes. We're very happy so far!

Very professional and my son really loves to go there

Our daughter who had previously done very well in math in elementary school did very poorly in Grade 8, especially once all classes moved online due to the pandemic. She barely passed. We arranged with her school for her to to take Math 9 in the last quarter of this year so she could attend Mathnasium from September to April, three days a week to review the Grade 8 curriculum. I can honestly say that if she had not done six months of Mathnasium, she would not have passed Math 9. She is confident and getting excellent grades. It was a commitment on both our parts getting her to and from tutoring three days a week, but worth it in every sense.

We had a great experience and highly recommend Collingwood Mathnasium!

My kids learned a lot

My daughter is starting to think in math. She is getting her math homework done in class at school, and not struggling to keep up. Despite complaining about having to go to extra math classes, she leaves the classes excited, thoughtful and is clearly taking in the information. This is worth the investment.

With the pandemic and a year of great uncertainty, we were confident in the fact that Mathnasium provided the same (if not higher) level of value, service and learning. School closures left gaps in learning and the team at Mathnasium rose to the challenge and keep kids learning in a safe and consistent environment. Glad to have this resource!

I really recommend Mathnasium because my child learns a lot at the centre and he says that it is extremely easy to learn and focus and he looks fowards to coming back every class.

Based on my son experience, who likes learning at Mathnasium and his view of math has changed to a positive since starting there. He has has said several times that Mathnasium’s learning style has help better then school it’s self. He sometimes uses his new skills during everyday activities.

So far so good - my son's math grade has really gone up. The hard part now is to keep him motivated that he has to learn math without being in a math class.

For both my kids, Mathnasium has been a blessing through Covid. I feel that in math at least, they will not fall behind this year.

My son's math experience at Mathnasium has been great. They make all efforts to help my son understand the concepts rather than just memorizing. The centre also makes sure adequate measures are in place to ensure the safety of the students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are very impressed with the Mathnasium learning method and their teams both Collingwood and North Van. They have made our daughter confident by working with her to create a firm foundation and improve her math skills. When she started in June 2020, she was using basic tools to help with her number computation such as finger counting and drawing circles. In just 4 months she had completed topics such as Double Facts, Complements of 10, Subtraction Facts, Missing addends, even and odd numbers, and is now able do mental math and has become more independent as they are moving to more complex topics.
