Member Testimonials
We love the YMCA at Vickery. It has been a blessing for our Parkinson's needs and the people there are so supportive and helpful!
I am just staying in the area for the summer. Daina is my wellness coach. I have learned a lot from her, especially about how to correctly use the machines. I've been to a couple of classes (Parkinson's Movement and Senior Strength) and love both the classes and the instructors. I love the walking path and the fact that it is cushioned. My hips don't hurt when I walk. The members are friendly. They recognize that I am new and come up to talk to me and make me feel welcome. I wish I lived closer and could come to this Y all the time.
Everyone is friendly and from my coach to the class instructors you can't beat them anywhere. Keep up the good work!
We utilize the Wellness Center 4 days a week. Enjoy the staff.
Variety
I have not explore them yet
I really like my instructors Susan, Alecia, Keri, and Joy.
The gym smells clean and looks nice and inviting . The windows in the entire facility give the building a great look. I love the pool area with the windows. I do wish there were an outside pool, however. The staff has been very welcoming and supportive. I am new to the Y in Forsyth, but it is a very nice facility with great staff!

Exercise classes
I had a coach when I joined & she was very helpful. She got me off to a good start. I mostly use the cardio machines and weight machines.
The time, the premises, and the friendliness of staff.
I like Group exercises like Zumba,Yoga,Group Cycle.
Everything.
We like the Coach Approach to teach you how to use the equipment and learn the exercises most beneficial to you. Also, the Parkinson's class taught by Lynn Wark is fantastic. You do not need to be affected by the illness but the workout makes use of all parts of your body.
There is also a variety of equipment available to pursue any type of exercise program you desire.
Several years ago I had to recover from hip surgery and pool was great for water therapy. One of the water instructors advised me of techniques that would benefit my recovery.
Ive enjoyed all of the classes that I’ve taken and that there is a smaller work out area open to all y members
