I like this Y. The people and staff are very friendly. However, I do not understand why there are 7 shower stalls in the women's locker room, and only one shower caddy.

I have been a member at the R.D. Fowler YMCA since 2003. After attending my first class, water aerobics and Cathy Kolb was the instructor, I knew that I would enjoy taking classes at the Y.
I know that things have changed after the pandemic. I wish we still had the instructors that were there prior to the pandemic. I also miss the familiar faces of the office staff and the front desk.
I have been doing Lin Roy’s chair yoga classes for awhile and I also used to do her regular yoga classes. I always feel great after her classes and we love her sense of humor. If Kim and Charly will be teaching her classes I’ll be happy.
The class choices are good. I used to receive emails about changes at the Y. I didn’t know about the life long learning meetings until I saw the flyer on the bulletin board. I also learned about the grief sharing group and caregivers group the same way. Did the life long learning group replace the senior lunch and learn? I’d like to receive emails about the changes that will be happening at the Y. For me the exercise classes aren’t the only important thing about the Y.

Plenty of family options to pick from
there is so much equipment you never have to wait and its always clean
I like having access to Wellness Center for strengthening and the pool for aerobic workout.
Wish there was more availability of lap lanes for 4 pm and later. Very competitive for lanes; few are available.
Pool water too cold for my grandchildren to enjoy much, unfortunately. How do the children in lessons keep from getting quite cold while waiting for a turn?!
The rest of my comments were given on the survey-- I couldn't get back to the page asking about what could be done to improve, but those comments are in the survey info provided.

Your programs are affordable and family friendly. I appreciate how you don't try to push selling memberships like many other athletic clubs do.

Fantastic group ex instructors, helpful staff
The instructors are great. We do need to market better. When can we specifically start "Weight Loss for Life"? I have been told shortly for 3 years. BETH Girmay can teach and is excellent. I have a number who keep asking me when. We need to keep soap in the showers in the men's showers. I can't speak for the women's. We have the absolute best number of people for pickleball thanks a GREAT deal to our leader, Katie Block Furlough. Let's us this and have a meeting to see how we can use this group to raise money and use it for pickleball and others areas.
