I appreciate the programs and activities that are offered at our area YMCA. All staff is friendly and class leaders are very efficient in facilitating their perspective classes. I am encouraged when I arrive knowing that half the battle with implementing exercise in my weekly begins with showing up. Each coach has been very encouraging and professional within my coach approach sessions. I would definitely share my experience with others and invite them to join as well.
I like the different classes and times that are available, of course there is always one or two that I would change availability - ha.
I like the amount and variety of classes offered. Wish there was another Step class!
I only use the Y for group exercise classes of cycling and pilates. Those teachers are excellent and make my efforts worthwhile.
Play center is nice. Varied family programs.
There are classes for everyone. Plenty of exercise machines and friendly staff.
I LOVE the daycare! The people that work at the Cowart location are really great and I can tell how much they care about my kids.
My only criticism is that there are more and more people working out on the mats to the right of the treadmills near the entrance and it is getting really crowded. I wish there was one more blue mat (3 total). It seems like the ab machines could be moved elsewhere to make room for another mat and a mirror on that wall where the ab machines are currently would be amazing. Just a thought!

Everything Actually! The fitness center is excellent: trainers, equipment and opportunity to meet friends with similar health and happiness goals.

From the first moment you step in the door and are greeted by YMCA Cowart staff, you know you are entering a space that is much more than just a gym. It is a space where people truly care about you and want to know you. My family takes part in youth sports, fitness classes, swim lessons, and, of course, the work out area. I love how the Y supports the whole family in many ways and also highly recommend it to not only my friends with a family but also friends who do not have children. I chose to leave a for profit gym over a year ago because I felt more connected with the Y's mission and wanted to support an organization that wants to build a community and not its bottom line.

I haven’t participated in any of the programs or activities. However, the facility itself is really clean. I’ll recommend the Cowart YMCA to anyone!
I have been a member for many years. I like being in a multicultural environment, in classes that come to feel like a community and in a well run, but not pretentious facility.
Swimming is good. Wish there was more space for family swimming as we typically just have 1 lane when we come.
I am a Senior. I am pleased that you have classes suited to the older population and there is a variety of activities. In fact, it seems that the YMCA is suited to every age group!
The kids offerings and the play center are excellent for parents looking to get their kids active. The facility also is top notch.
I recommend this Y to all families looking to enjoy an active lifestyle.
I love the Zumba and dance classes at the Y. Jae, Marquetta, Aaron and Tameka are some of the best instructors anywhere!

Big variety of programs available. Lots of scheduled time options. Plenty of exercise equipment. Nice running track elevated over the gym. Staff is friendly and helpful.

They have something for everyone from swimming to Zumba, yoga, stretching, individual exercise, etc.
The roller stretch class is great.
