Fairly good hours, great class schedule (in both the variety offered and the number of classes on the schedule), child-friendly. All of programs we’ve taken a part of have been great (soccer, gymnastics, basketball).

There is a good variety that feels inclusive no matter what age or experience level.
I like the spinning classes and the instructors, especially their approachable personalities and passion for the sport and for teaching. I also like the frequency of the classes.
Variety & frequency
The facility is always clean. The staff is so friendly, professional and encouraging they feel like family. The equipment is up to date. East Lake Family Y has everything I need to stay fit and healthy.
I like the variety of fitness classes, especially at the Decatur YMCA.
Exercise classes
I'm just getting started so it's hard to give any specifics. I do like the fact that there is someone to consult with regarding goals and strategies and the opportunity to follow up once you get started.
The facilities are great but so are the people -- instructors and front desk. A welcoming place!
The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, all the equipment nessary for full workouts including an inside walking trail, inside pools, whirlpool and sauna. Many classes for all ages.
I like the upkeep of equipments and hours of operation.

I would just like the steam room cleaned more often.. my favorite place in your facility.. I would like to know when the pool will be closed in advance.. I don't like when the grown men take over the gym and play full court and others can't play basketball.. we all pay membership.. other than that your facility is great
The times are great and the equipment works.
Some great instructors, separate area in the pool for children, sauna, diverse population, people of all sizes and ages.
Convenience
The walking trail . I love water aerobics with Linda. It is always something new and different to do. Love it

Convenience. Options for all ages.
I believe this Y makes every effort to accommodate those in financial need. That is critically important to my idea of the mission of the YMCA. The programs and classes seem to be consistent for years--which is great. One concern, sometimes instructors don't show for class and there is no notice given. This has happened to me twice. I think the management needs to be let instructors know that they need to notify students if they don't expect to be in class. Emergencies, of course, are the exception but the Y management would them post a sign--right :)
