The pool and classes are great! I even like the steam room. The whirlpool is disgusting! Filthy on a regular basis and full of bubbles. Please clean.

I like the coach approach program and the classes being offered at the Y. I have very much enjoyed working with coach Beth, she has been extremely supportive and helpful in getting me started. I am excited to belong to the Decatur YMCA and look forward to attending various classes and other programs there.

Decatur Y has many programs and activities to choose from. This means the Y is not big enough for the crowds and lines at times.
The facilities are clean, children are usually attended by an adult, the machines are usually all in good working condition, the ladies locker room has an area for women to stretch or workout away from the gym. The showers are clean spacious and mildew free.
One needed improvement, the handicap toilet seat in the ladies gym needs to be replaced. It is stained beyond repair and is an eye sore considering the whole of the facility.

The Decatur Y is permeated with a spirit of teamwork and kindness. It is always a pleasure to be there. A little known fact is that many class instructors could earn more money other ways, practicing their craft, but they choose to donate to the community by teaching classes at the Y. That's the spirit!
The classes, programs and workout area are amazing! The Y takes care of the community and it’s really a place that the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

Since the early days of COVID, I have been a Decatur Family Y member. (My Emory Gym had closed.) In these nearly two years, I cannot praise the staff & leadership enough for your care, safeguards, and ability to successfully navigate these challenging times.
I am a "delighted" member, and frequently recommend the facility and staff to "wanna-bes."
Everything! Wish there were kid classes. Are there any for 5 year olds?!
