I love the availability of gym equipment compared to some of the other Ys. There’s enough available for more than one person to be doing the same sort of exercise.

All the Instructors I have met at the Y have been very gracious supportive and skilled. But it’s also the other participants that are friendly and welcoming. And it just seems to be very well run at the Decatur Family Y. I’m really enjoying exploring the different classes and options, and I never feel awkward or goofy! Thank you for a great way to stay active!

I was excited about Decatur Y because of the help and conversation we had the whole time I was there. I didn't get at East Lake no one ask me can I help you. And I went 3 days with no help no one came to me like too see if I needed help. Thank you Decatur Y thats the why it should be.

The Decatur YMCA has a very friendly and helpful staff. The facility is clean and well maintained and has a wide variety of equipment in a calm andpleasant atmosphere. The facility also offers a wide range of classes and is dedicated to promoting community health and participation, with programs designed for all levels of physical ability, diversity and inclusion.

Facility is beautiful and well kept. The course teachers are OUTSTANDING and there so many interesting group classes ! Just overall wonderful, good energy.

Something for everyone
Since covid, most of the programs are back up and running 🏃♀️ full speed. There was a lack of instructor for a minute. Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic. Now there is a buzz in the air! All of the activities back on line and participation among members has increased tremendously. East Lake YMCA had dedicated a pickleball court just for our enjoyment and pleasure. 😉

Swimming is amazing
I really only take Indoor Cycling once a week now, but the class is amazing. Joseph is a GREAT instructor and the people at the Y are wonderful. Although I'm not there as often as I used to be, I always look forward to going. It's a special place that has community and great activities for all ages.
I love body pump so I'm disappointed that some classes later in the mornings were canceled. I hope someone will step in to those slots so classes can resume.
The Y is a very welcoming place. I have been a member for about 12 years.
The Y has bounced back well from the COVID closures, but admittedly that was tough.
Would you please consider returning those group exercise classes to the 1 hour length. There are many classes that take place in a space that is EMPTY after the class. This should be easy.
Consider the time and effort it takes to get to a class with traffic and the cost of fuel. Frustrating to have a YOGA class end so soon.
