The variety of classes
The Y has exercise classes that have been beneficial for my health. The staff members at the Decatur Family YMCA where I visit six days a week when I'm in town, have always been helpful and cheerful. The members I interact with are friendly and cooperative which is an indication of the good and pleasant atmosphere the Y provides for its members and the community in general.
I use the group excercise classes. Would love to have a Step Class.
I love the pool for swimming laps and you have some excellent yoga teachers. The trainers are all very welcoming and helpful.

We visited twice while we were in Atlanta last week. (Our home Y is the Summit Family YMCA in Newnan, GA.)
We were greeted and made to feel very welcomed. The staff went out of their way to answer our questions, even sharing the location of one of their favorite nearby coffee shops, when we asked. The facility is beautiful, very clean, and we enjoyed our workouts.

I am new to the Y but have really enjoyed the gym! I have also noticed there are tons of classes I can take and for the price it really seems like a great deal.
