The team members at the Y always make me feel welcome...and yes, important! Over the years I have had excellent yoga and pilates teachers at the Y. Taking these classes has made a big difference in my mobility and comfort as I age. Would not be without my Y membership!

Wide variety of things to do
I’ve just begun to explore but I am pleased there are so many choices of yoga. My goal is to build consistency first and then work on fitn as goals.
The app is easy to navigate and there’s a great variety of instruction within my interest.
I enjoy the camaraderie of group classes as well as the wonderful workout taught by excellent instructors.
Accessible well-maintained fitness center, great hours, friendly, knowledgeable staff; well maintained pool/hottub and sauna/steam room
Improve Quality of Equipment - the yoga mats, for instance, are extremely thin and offer little to no cushion making it almost hazardous during weight bearing exercises.
Offer More Outdoor Exercise Classes (such as Yoga).
Good variety of classes and activities. There should be even more classes for older adults, such as Tai Chi.
The diversity of instruction is something I appreciate. No matter what your goals are, there’s a class and instructor just right for you. There’s a pleasant atmosphere—-fun and fitness combined. And I like the frequent opportunities to contribute needed items to members of our community.

The people who work at Decatur Y are always friendly and helpful. I love the variety of classes that are offered and the people who teach the classes. I just wish there were more body pump classes because they fill up within a minute of being posted. But I realize that instructors are hard to come by.
Love the childcare and social activities as well as the weight room and pool.

Only use the machines, but have heard good things about the programs.
I do wish the broken machines were fixed a little faster. It would be really helpful if the staff would ask people not to sit on a machine and talk to someone while others are waiting to use the machine.
I come for Tai Chi and enjoy it very much. The instructor is very Knowledgeable and works well with beginners in her class
