The Decatur YMCA has great activities to fit every age group. It is a great experience every time I go.
love Stephanies senior zumba class. Can the line dancing be another time? I would love to take her class, but it is at the same time as Stephanie's.
There are so many diverse classes and activities for all skill level. Instructors are knowledgeable and are interested in helping you find the right program for you.
I love the Decatur YMCA. My favorite benefit is the group exercise classes.
Here's what I would change:
- I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish I did NOT have to leave my member card at the front desk. Because of this policy I lose my card a lot and the YMCA reprints my card a lot. How often does the YMCA need to figure out who is there my sorting through cards? They get scanned when we enter, why not get a system that can show you who is present?
- I really appreciate that you use unscented detergent, but the towels tend to irritate my skin a lot - they've given me rashes on contact. I avoid them as much as possible because they tend to burn my skin. I think the detergent levels need to be adjusted.
I like the weight machines and the indoor jogging/walking track.
I like the open swim and line dancing and the machines in the gym! I wouldn't have access to these things at a good price otherwise.
Love the atmosphere - diverse, friendly, low key, and encouraging. Great staff and classes.
So far, the water aerobics program for seniors is excellent. I eventually hope to get involved with other classes as time permits. Keep up the great work !!

I love the friendly atmosphere, welcoming and knowledgeable staff, clean and roomy locker room and great equipment. There are activities for every age group and fitness level. What a great place to be a member!

The workout rooms are open & uncluttered. All the machines are clean.
