The instructors are great, esp Jan, Jennifer, Andy, Terri,
Large variety
Camps, swimming pool
Classes, pool, child care!
Multiple options to choose from in a variety of schedules. Wish you could RSVP in advance of 24 hours though, for group classes.
I don't take advantage of the Y's programs and activities. Our children are grown, and we generally go to the Y for our workout and then return home. I've tried some exercise classes, but at 75 I found them unappealing. Loud music and booming instructions over the PA turn me off. I also don't like being in a crowded space, and the classes seem quite full.
While I don't think classes targeted to people in their 30s, 40s, and perhaps 50s are suitable for me, I'm also in pretty good shape and would like fitness class that challenges me. I've been taking tai chi classes at a studio for at least 6 years, maybe more, and would definitely take tai chi at at the Y if it were offered. I did try the Arthritis Foundation tai chi class a few years ago, and my fitness level was definitely above the level of that course.
I guess my frustration is that I'm not young and I'm not old. I'd like to have some options somewhere in between.
Lots of cycling options. Great kids activities
Great facilities, great options (basketball, pool, tennis, etc.) and child care. That's very valuable for working parents!
We love the pool! (The lifeguards are sometimes distracted and/or on their phones though…)
The day care and kids pool. However the childcare break from 12-4 is hard for us. I would love a smaller gap.
I like having lap swimming pool reservations. It makes it easier to know that I will have a lane available to swim laps. I can plan my schedule accordingly.
I primarily use the weight room and seldom take advantage of the programming, but I have attended a few yoga classes that I have really enjoyed
Great teachers.
My daughter loves her tennis camp
I really like the classes and the instructors. It feels like a community when I walk in the door. IT is very clean and they did a great job during the pandemic. I feel comfortable physically and socially when I am there. Friendly front staff people. Nice workout room with great equipment.
Spin class!!!
Tennis!!!
Great facility; great online checkin.
Cleanliness is tops:)
Neighborhood and a lot of offerings
So far I've only used the pool which I prefer over my home YMCA location. Lanes are more available and the facility is newer, bigger, and feels cleaner.
Friendly place and very clean. Lots of activities
Great instructors, courteous staffs and good exercise equipment.
We love swim team! It's been so great for our 7-year-old. The outdoor pool and variety of camps can't be beat.
Facilities are wonderful
Classes are fantastic! The facility is beautiful and well maintained. Great instructors. All have great energy and provide ways to modify when needed. Everyone is welcoming and encouraging.
The teacher was very accommodating and offered many options depending on skill level.
I really like the 45 min group fitness classes (rather than 60 mins). Ideally I would LOVE a pilates or strength or barre class from 6 to 6:45 pm a couple nights a week so I can come right from work.
Great variety of group classes and times through the week.
The swimming pool was bery child friendly
I like the the gym opens early, and promptly.
The staff is helpful, personable, and friendly.
the gym has lots of options and machines.
I like the sculpts, Barre Fusion, and HIIT classes. I would like more Power Yoga.
