Member Testimonials
I typically just come to work out but on occasion I do yoga and barre fit. I enjoy both the instructors and the programs.
I will soon be taking adult swimming. I am looking forward to that...as I have not yet learned how to swim on the water.
Easy access
Incredibly family-friendly, non-threatening, affordable programs to choose from. From group workout classes to children’s swim lessons and extra curricular classes, there is a good variety for any level and interest.
My membership at the Springs YMCA dates back to the opening of the center. Since that time I have made many requests, in writing, for the addition of a sauna. Most often duing times when budgets were being set for renovations or recently, during the major center expansion. I have never received a reply. Perhaps this note accompanying my feedback score will garner a response from YMCA leadership?
Love the outdoor swimming pool!
We are pretty new to the YMCA. I have tried 3 different classes and thought they were beneficial and well coached. The facilities are beautiful and always clean.
Suzi Z. has a great gymnastics staff!
There are programs for the young and old, and a lot of choices on the land and in the water. The instructors are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
Varied, something for everyone including individual workouts including equipment.
We like all the options for kids and how affordable everything is. I wish there was a little more variety in group ex classes, both types and times.
I appreciate that the "Y" has added more yoga classes and instructors.

The long hours of availability for lap swimming outdoors
Nice and clean
I like the low cost, good instructors. Safe atmosphere.
I dislike how late some classes are (late taekwondo), wish there was better dance instruction for the older kids (more serious instruction).
Appreciate the friendly, helpful staff, great pools and shower facilities.
The activity pool is terrific.
Springs Y offers a variety of programs and activities for families. I especially like the theater and art programs they’re offering to allow kids that may not excel in sports a chance to still be involved.
There is no sign up and appointments to keep. Just come to the classes that interest you. I am hooked on restorative yoga. Sonja is very good teacher. I also enjoy Carla when I can get to her easy yoga class.
Exercise equipment and swimming pools.
My personal trainer is knowledgeable, varies up our exercises, and listens carefully to what we can and can’t handle.
Like water aerobics and gentle yoga. Community atmosphere
I love the pool (casual lap swimming). This was recommended to me by my physical therapist, and has really helped my back issues. All of the Silver Sneaker/Active Older adult classes are great. They seem to be geared just to my needs. Love all instructors and music, too. I like the time of day of the classes. They could even be 9 or 10 am, and I’d be happy. I also sometimes just walk on the treadmill, too. Really love the Y since I re-joined after the remodel.
I love love love the cardio funk class taught by Kat. It’s the only work out class I’ve found that I look forward to every week and never want to skip!
The new swimming pool
Lots of different classes
Enjoy the pool classes.
It's been a major life change to finally start working out with a trainer. Greatly helps with some hip & shoulder issues but also that accountability & support.
I really like the indoor swimming pool. Great for older joints and the hours are very flexible.
Swimming is a need of the soul in this summer heat wave!
Staff and members are always friendly.
The YMCA is a fringe benefit of my insurance Silver Sneaker program - great!

The staff are the best!
