The pool and body pump
Exercise classes are great!
Meghan and lee are instructors for your body pump, cx work and body combat. They make my exercise routine fun and make me keep coming back to your facility to be a healthier me! They have helped so many change their life. They truly are gems!
Lots of activities to,choose from, I see lots of ages and cultures represented.
Variety of classes offered.
Courteous knowledgeable staff. Good physical layout of machines, good hours. Too old to participate in classes, but go there early and work out. No complaints!
We enjoyed our visit to your location as always.
I can only comment on 1 program. So far, The Yoga classes In which I’ve participated have been quite good. I have attended an average of 3 classes per week, I’m enjoying practicing Hatha, Vinyasa & Gentle Yoga . Rebecca is an excellent instructor as she is engaging and gives good support and narrative to her instruction
I do not work with the programs or activities.
I use the track on the second floor and the computers. I enjoy the hot tub.
I have been attending the YMCA in Oak Hill for years. I always notice changes and there have been many. All these changes and upgrades have been great. The YMCA offers something for all ages from babies up to old folks like me. There are many options and classes for all ages that fit their individual needs and abilities. I have tried out all the equipment and have setteled on a routine that fits me. I try to visit the Y at least 3 times a week and walk my 3 miles on the great
indoor walking/ running track and then spend another 30 minutes on about a dozen machines. Mt visits usually last a couple of hours because I love to socialize with the many friends I have made at the Y. The Staff and all the workers are so friendly and helpful to everyone that enters the building and they greet each person and then tell them goodbye when they leave.
I hope I get to enjoy my Y for many more years,
Cliff Powers

The variety of classes and the available of trainers
The gym the pool really nice staff and community members; clean well kept facilities
I like it
The Southwest Y has a nice variety of classes. The pool is heated and always available. All of the staff is helpful, kind, and friendly!!!
Love the Active Older Adults class, Gentle Yoga, and the elliptical machines.
I like the low cost for sports programs, friendly front desk, and humble atmosphere. As well, a real sense of community. The ladies in childwatch are really good to the kids and know them all well. Couple things I don't like...there is a wall separating lap pool from the family pool. Each time I am there to swim, I hear a whistle and passive aggressive tone from lifeguards saying "don't hang on the wall"...the kids don't even get it and I don't either. Just let them hang on the wall as long as they don't go over into other pool! Guessing it's an old rule that has just existed through "tribal voice"..serves little purpose. Also, would be nice to have cold drinking water in fountains.
Thanks for listening...we enjoy coming to the YMCA often.
the options of classes
Several months ago I requested wall clocks be put in the weight room but i got no answer or action.
I like to time myself and don't want to carry my cell with me all the time.
