Great free weight area remodel. Need more yoga classes!!!
I attended two sessions only. I noticed that these classes are suitable for kids. I felt I am too old to fit in the group. So later continued using the outdoor pool on my own.
Now I’m comfortable putting my head under the water for more than 20seconds and able to float without any aid. Slowly learning to swim forward. Now I’m confident that I can learn swimming without any fear. This is all because of the YMCA facility.
I like very much about the way the pools are maintained especially thankful to the lifeguards. I always love the Southwest YMCA.
The care and concern staff have for members is what I appreciate about the Y!

I just use the strength equipment on my own after an initial personal training from Gary, who was excellent.
I like the commaraderie of the group classes.
I mainly go to the pool classes. It is disappointing how often the indoor pool and or the hot tub aren’t working. Heater problems seem to persist.
I like that there is a lot of variety, and that there are multiple time options - so you can still attend them if you have a different schedule from someone else
The upgrades to the facility have been fantastic! My primary usage is for Body Pump and Ecaterina is absolutely a great instructor. Unlike some of the others who I've taken a lot of classes with, she is always mindful about checking for people who are new and giving them some direct coaching.

I am involved in water exercises on Monday and Wednesday morning at 9:00. The best way to start the day !
The instructors
Lots of opportunities for yoga classes. Ample parking even during the busy times across the street/behind the building. Range of new/niche fitness classes though I typically try one then return to my tried and true.
Sabrina’s group exercise classes
Very clean and the employees are helpful and friendly. I like the atmosphere and the facilities.
I really loved that when I did basketball, and baseball, my coaches were amazing!
My instructor makes class fun. She monitors our movements to avoid any injury. I like interacting with other mature adults.
Indoor pool exercise classes
I generally don't participate in the programs and activities. I just use the gym equipment.
I love the variety of classes! I’ve taken several now and there’s still more to try! Have loved all of them and the instructors. There’s also so much more than just classes that I have yet to try! I also very much love the community and encouragement I’ve received from fellow members. It is a joy to go to the gym!
I would like to have an additional Slow Yoga class added to Wednesday morning. Other than that - I really like our SouthWest YMCA!
The Senior Fit Chair classes and the Senior Fit Strength class I attend are spot on for my ability.

Weight machines, Treadmill, Elliptical and the running/walking track are my favorites. Convenient in the mid-morning and afternoons, can be busy in the early evening. I like the spin classes too.
They also have Exercise Balls, free weights, boxing bags and more
Staff is always friendly and accessible.
