I needed a program for an 8 year-old beginner. This one was great. The coach was conscious of teaching every child and my son got to play a lot in the games which helped him learn. He loved it so much we are signing him and his little sister up for the next season. The short seasons were also a draw. It gave us a chance to try something new and finish it (even if he had decided not to continue).

The coaches were wonderful! They ran them through great drills to give the kids a taste of football and work on specific skills! My son asked every day if he could go to football practice!
We're able to suggest our coach or player. All coaches have been great with the kids.
They are plenty of choices but wish jujitsu or martial arts were available!
Our coach, Elliot Vermes, was absolutely amazing! He taught the team new skills, encouraged everyone, and gave children with both high and low skill levels a chance to succeed at every practice and game. I am very happy that we participated this season and will be back next basketball season.

It’s my daughter’s first time playing volleyball & coach Autumn is very knowledgeable & great with the girls on the team.
We LOVE YMCA basketball! My son’s coach this year was phenomenal. However, I encountered some other coach that I heard making fun of my son’s team. My son’s team (7-8yo) were all very beginner level and not like many other teams we played. They lost a lot, by more than 40pts some games. When I heard the other coach make fun of my son and then the team, I did alert the staff member that was working the game. I also wanted to give major kudos to the staff member that worked the games. I ran the scoreboard the whole season and I absolutely LOVED working with him!! He was so fun and does a lovely job keeping YMCA Saturday basketball running perfectly. Please tell him that! He’s just an all around great guy!

This YMCA is wonderful! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The childcare is by far the best in the area. I'm extremely pleased with the facilities.
Hours of operation are convenient, facilities are always clean and staff are friendly.
