I really enjoy a childcare, I feel comfortable leaving my child at the facility and enjoy all the games and activities they do!
We love the youth sports program and swimming lessons.
I like that there is not a yearly contract to sign, I can do my aquatic therapy exercises in a nice pool for less cost than my health insurance (and I can participate in additional classes and/or use weights and exercise equipment in the gym). It's also handy to have a library in the building where I can pick up books on hold!
Coach Mark Nieto was a great coach. Not only great in teaching techniques and skills but building confidence. The team environment was always positive and while competitive it is respectful.
My two grandchildren play soccer at the Y. This is their first year playing and they are having a blast. I would also like to give a shout out to the staff. They always go above and beyond to help and assist anyone who needs it. I will always be grateful to them. They have a heart of gold!
The SS & AOA classes and Senior Activities help keep me active and there is a good variety.
It would be GREAT if classes with size limits offer a "wait list". So many people sign up for a class then cancel. Sorry but I'm not constantly checking the app to see if a spot opens up.
It would be great if the ac vents AND fans be cleaned on a regular basis. We all struggle with allergies, then to have fan and vent dust flying or falling on us while in class is just yucky 🤮 🤧.

My wife and I were very pleased with the friendly, supportive staff of Davis-Scott branch of the San Antonio YMCA, and we would especially like to credit Coach Shawn Marshall for making our 11-year old son's basketball experience outstanding. Winter 2026 was the first season our son ever played on an organized basketball team. Coach Shawn knows a lot of basketball, and a lot about life. He was truly outstanding with the kids. He supported them and built them up, and also pushed them just the right amount to become better basketball players, better teammates, and most importantly- better young people. Coach Shawn Marshall personifies the YMCA mission- my wife and I are so grateful for him and his positive influence on our son.
I enjoy the classes, the instructors are great! There is a wide range of classes from which to choose. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful.
Soccer coaches had this season actually know what they’re doing. Boys had a great time building up a flow together.
Everyone's friendly and they keep it clean. Also if I need help, they will need to help me.

Gym and child watch
I like the fact that the egym is a system of measures. The tread mill and the bike also have measures.
There is something for everyone at the Y!

I love the fitness classes! I knew that if I joined just to use the exercise equipment, I would get bored and fizzle out. The classes are fun, the group energy is great, and the evening hours are ideal for me.

Your equipment seems to be working well with very few machines down. Machines are always available and the facility is clean.
Signing up is easy & programs abd activities all run smoothly, efficiently, and with staff members who are kind and clearly love what they do.
I have loved all of the classes- my favorite is Silver Sneakers with Caroline!
Sign-up easy, coach was great. Referees were great. Games were easy to get to.
