I would like if I could choose who my teachers are, so I could work with people that suit my needs.
Tailored a program to my daughters needs and schedule. The flexibility was fantastic.
How you can improve is by keeping the standards, of ongoing progress conference meeting (phone and/or in person). Apparently Sylvan is no longer doing conferences, with parents/guardians, with regards to how kid/child is doing. I don't see how that helps the students and the parent/guardian. Sending emails of students test/level results does not make it the same thing. It's like sending your kid/child's grades without ever having any conference meeting with the teachers. Normally each semesters parents/guardians meet with the teacher to go over the students progress and how to better help, so that teacher/parent/guardian can come up with a solution to better help the student progress instead of declining.
I like the frequency of progress updates.

Very friendly environment and welcoming. My children are enjoying being part of Sylvan Learning. I love the techniques are use to make kids engage with the their learnings... For example the differents kinds of games or prices they have. I feel this helps kids feel more interested and not feel bored learning.

My daughter is very happy with the help she is getting. The tutors are great at teaching alternative formulas (math) to help her understand.

The conference I had to review progress was conducted by someone who didn't even know my child, nor had seemed to have read the notes in advance of our meeting.
During homework support time, my child read a book. Even if homework is completed, I thought there would be some reinforcement. I can have him read at home.
Frequent progress update , mastering one skill at a time
Our 50hour is going to end in the end of April. We love Sylvan but there is no way that we can pay what we are paying right now. I wish we can work something out about the tuition. Hoping to hear a good news. Thank you.

Comprehensive customer service, educators checking in with me regularly on how my niece is progressing. I have always been fully supportive of Sylvan after sending my son in 2002. Improved your system by adding touch pads! After 6 weeks, Teagan is no longer saying that she "hates school"..I believe this is a result of her attendance at Sylvan.
Love how positive the program is. My son loves going to Sylvan and feels encouraged to do his best.
I love the flexibility of scheduling tutoring sessions. With so many after school extracurricular activities, it's nice to be able to change your slot every now and then. I also love the reward system. My son loves earning points to redeem at the end of each session! It's the BEST motivator for him.
