My son has been going to Sylvan for about 4 weeks now. We were off to a rough start as I had concerns about the ability of my son and the other children to focus with a few causing continual disruptions. I spoke very frankly with the Pearland Center Director, Lois Veguilla, about this. Within hours (not days or weeks. .. hours) I received an email from the owner. The issue was quickly resolved. I was quite pleased that the Director immediately spoke to the owner. More so I was quite impressed with the Director's professionalism. She is very approachable and open to feedback, comments, and questions of any type. I certainly appreciate that. That is the kind of leadership I am looking for in a facility to help my son with his educational needs. I am now looking at enrolling my older son and just referred my coworker to the Sylvan Pearland facility. I attribute my willingness to recommend the Pearland Sylvan faculty because of the Center Director present.
I just recently had a progress meeting with the Director of Education, Becky Robles. She carefully explained the progress my son had made, where he was at currently, and what he would be working on next. The like the format and layout of the progress report. It is much more explanatory and easy to follow than what is available via MySylvan.
I'd like to take this opportunity to recognize Ms. Juanita. She is constantly in motion answering phones, getting the kids to the correct instructor at the beginning of the sessions, tidying up, wiping down tables and door knobs, etc.. a lot of children come through these doors and I appreciate her efforts to keep it clean. The doctor offices should take lessons from Ms. Juanita. She even cleaned the outside glass doors and windows. All in an effort to make the faculty look extra good.
