Ms. Stephanie was a professional consummate. She is extremely intelligent in sharing of information and helped decreased my level of anxiety with my 6yr old son in preparing him for the first grade. We are thankful to have had a positive experience with Sylvan Learning due to Ms. Stephanie’s approach in communication, demonstrating empathy and treating us with respect and dignity. My son also had an awesome experience and lots of fun at bot lab camp. He is excited for any future sessions that may be available to his age.

My niece went from making 50's and 60's in her math class to acing EVERYTHING. Everyone from her 3rd grade teacher, grandmother, Sunday school teacher - have all commented on how much her confidence has ALSO increased. Her weekly two hour tutoring session is the highlight of her week! The staff at the Jacksonville, NC office - especially Mandi - are communicative, professional and during each session routinely make Aliza feel empowered and special. Sylvan will be my go-to in Jacksonville for academic help for my family.
My child Evan Holloway seems to be motivated to study now.
I would highly recommend Sylvan Learning Center. The strides my son has made in only the short time he has been attending is quite evident. The staff is patient, enthusiastic and eager to help. I wish I made this decision sooner.
The improvement I have seen in just the first month is amazing. He is grasping concepts he has struggled with for months. I also love that they actually listen to my feedback.
I had my sons enrolled at Sylvans at the Jacksonville location and it paid off my sons now are currently A and B student and the other one will be taking the ASVAB soon thank you for everything

So far my Grandson has improved in math. However he still has a way to go but for only being there for a few weeks has taught him well. I feel my money will be well sent.
We arranged to have our granddaughter tutored twice a week at Sylvan. In a very short time, just several weeks, she was able to bring her grade from the 50's to the high 80's, going from a D to a B. Nothing short of amazing.

One month in and great experience so far.
I am so grateful for Sylvan! My son started in public school for kindergarten and 1st grade. We decided halfway through 1st that he needed additional help. We put him into Milestone academy. What a difference already just there within a few weeks. The principle later let me know that sylvan would be a great addition for him. My son went into second grade on a kindergarten reading level. I can absolutely already see a difference and he is actually excited to learn to read. He has come so far already. I will recommend both sylvan and milestones to anyone who will listen.

My Granddaughter’s attitude about learning has changed. She is using the skills that she has learned in school and her grades are increasing. It is amazing to see her transforming.

Sylvan has been a life saver for us and our children throughout the shutdowns of the school and navigating the remote learning. We also discovered in the process that both of my children needed some help with reading, so their tutor has been amazing.Everyone on their staff is friendly and so nice, and since day one our kids have loved going. We are so happy that we found them!
Sylvan was very good at keeping me informed and immediately responded to my questions. My daughter was always welcomed and tutors were great. All staff were friendly and professional. They really seemed to care.
During a time of COVID19 it has been difficult for a lot of families. Also, some are just recovering from the hurricane that took place a few years ago. We are one of those families. After moving 4 times in 6 months not due to any fault of our own and dealing with COVID19 we have only been in our new home for just a year. (sold home, hurricane destroyed rental, moved to another rental, rental sold, moved in with family member, finally moved in our own home) I almost said just forget trying to pay the extra money for tutoring. However after speaking with the Sylvan representative they were able to work a plan out that was a great fit for my budget. I am very appreciative for all of their help and the support they gave to my daughter as she prepared to take the SAT test.
What I like most is, my daughter is enjoying going. It is not a fight...she looks forward to it. She is also, for the first time possibly ever, sharing with me what she is learning about math, a subject she usually cries over. She is developing an understanding and a sense of, I can do this! I only wish I could have financially been able to do this sooner.
