Well maintained equipment, variety of classes, outdoor pool area in summer.
I enjoy that the membership provides the flexibility to visit various YMCA locations. In addition and particularly referring to the West Chester Area Y, I am excited to start of my day surrounded by both caring Y staff and fellow members and friends. Each day the staff consistently strives to provide a positive experience. Customer service does an exceptional job at making me feel welcome and comfortable. On a daily basis, I am treated with kindness and greeted by name and with genuine smiles. Fitness center coaches, trainers and instructors go out of their way to to encourage me and to ensure that I am equipped with the appropriate tools, information and classes that will help me reach my fitness goals.
I like the variety of fitness classes. Instructors are knowledgeable and explain how to modify exercises.
The Y also listens to its members. A group of us requested a 3:30 Body Pump class on Tuesday afternoons, and the Y made it a reality. The class was added and about 15-20 of us are there regularly.
Swimming is my son's favorite activity, so visiting the West Chester Y was perfect since the water & air temp is so warm in the recreation pool. We thoroughly enjoyed it and stayed in for a few hours. That's a big difference compared to the Y near us ..we usually get cold and get out in under an hour.
Everyone at the YMCA is very positive and helpful. It's a great place to exercise, and there are many good activities for children.
Easy to use all the equipment. Hours are great. Most times not too crowded.

I'm encouraged by the reinstatement of Silver Sneakers. Communication has improved. The group exercise program is very good with excellent instructors. Questions and concerns are addressed.
I like the people that work there, the people that work out there and all the Y has to offer.
My membership fee covers all the exercise classes that I need.
A great place for a workout. Great facilities and very clean. We have made many friends over the years. The staff is top shelf, always caring and very professional. I have been a member since 1998. Wish they had a sauna though.

More stretching equipment would be nice
I like being able to try classes, not feel obligated to STAY there, but to find just the right "fit" and have it last the whole time you need it. Change is always available, but so is the consistency of the classes you attend frequently.
Love the attitude of the welcome staff we meet each day. And the helpfulness of the others (like the maintenance person in the locker rooms) as they continue to have the right attitude of a welcoming hello, and an encouraging smile.

The competitive pool is the best. Usually lanes available.
Many facilities under one roof. Family like environment and kids play area.
I still wonder why can’t we have basketball training at Airport Road instead of going to Oskar Lasko.

The facility is beautiful, has everything I need, and the cost is affordable. Plus, the staff are always friendly, and there always seems to be enough staff around when I have a question. I really enjoy my time at the Y!
