I like most everything about the Y. Good members, great staff, clean, good equipment. One thing I wish the way what a dress – – masks should be required of everyone, even while exercising.

I love the lap pool! It’s the only reason I go to the Y. I used to use the rowing machines and other aerobic machines as well pre-Covid, but am not comfortable being in that big room with others all huffing and puffing, despite me being fully vaccinated. Still, the lap pool alone is worth my monthly fee. I’ve learned when to be there so that I get my own lane….the social distancing feels safe.

Given the current situation, I believe the Y is doing a fabulous job. Although class selection may be somewhat limited, there is still enough and something for everyone. Our instructors and staff are the best.

I love the group exercise classes, especially cycle strength!! The energy of the instructors and fellow classmates lifts me up and gets me excited to exercise. I don’t create a lot of time in my daily schedule to take care of myself. When I take a group exercise class I feel like I’m caring for my physical body and socializing at the same time.

I don’t like the fact that the jennersville Y is renovating until the middle of January and now that the Covid virus is increasing and more people are being condensed in the Kennett Y . This was not an optimum time to do renovations I don’t like that there are no more fans allowed in the Y . I know there is supposedly a new air filtration system installed , but there is no air movement at all, and when the Y is crowded , there needs to be air movement.

The facilities are fully equipped and pristine clean, and the staff makes you feel welcome. Plus, the members are open and friendly. The availability of pickle ball is exceptional. The Kennett Square YMCA compares favorably with private clubs.

Very much appreciate the expanded pickleball program. Pickleball players used to feel like an annoyance to the Y.

I am beyond impressed with the facility. There is a a wide variety of equipment that is always in working order. The facility is incredibly clean and well maintained. The staff is courteous and friendly. I appreciate the fact that the staff is required to wear masks. I do wish the same mandate was in place for members; at the very least in the weight rooms. Keep up the good work!

Would like to see the "younger set" members get serious with masking. Standing around on your cell phone while waiting your turn to do weight lifting, is not exercising. When they walk around the cardio room between equipment use, or if they are done and walking out, they should be masked. When the pandemic hit, I masked while lifting weights and doing the stair climber. It's not that difficult. I won't enter any room where there is an unmasked person not seriously exercising and I'm double-vaxed, boosted, work in healthcare and always wear a mask. Good luck with encouraging compliance.

Plenty of lap lanes, and reasonable hours

The staff is always accommodating, and the facilities are clean, bright, and rarely too crowded. I would recommend some routine maintenance or updates for some of the equipment (eg. the bluetooth doesn’t work on most of the treadmills and several of the rowing machines are missing cell phone holders). Relatively minor inconveniences, but also should be easy/inexpensive to rectify. Overall, though, a great facility.

I love the variety of classes offered and also how helpful the front desk always is at answering questions about and helping to sign up for classes or programs!! I would love if there were more kids arts types of classes or programs. Would love to bring things like Lego club back for kids.
