My wife and I made the new year resolution to get into shape. I was able to meet my goal in 4 weeks. Our personal trainer, Leslie at the Parkville Y, has been an awesome instructor and motivator.
Making a place where everyone is welcome
Just incredible support for seniors and youth and everyone in between! Many choices to keep you healthy and connected. It is a life changing community center for those that need a gathering place for friendship. Many thanks for everything you offer the community.
Many things, but it does not keep the men's locker room and shower rooms very clean. The shower stalls in the men's locker rooms are black around the baseboard. I have reported it several times, but staff do not seem to listen or care. Check the two small shower stalls on the men's locker room for black stuff on the baseboards. Check the corners of the floors in the locker room and shower stalls. These things have not improved in several years. The rest of the Y is wonderful. Is anybody listening or will this request be ignored as have my previous reports?

The Y offers a large variety of activities for various ages and interests. It is a warm and welcoming center.
The Y makes you feel like you belong. The insturctors will welcome you. The front desk will engage you if you say hello, and the people you meet are your new friends.

We have a fabulous Community Center. Appeals to all ages because of the various activities, classes and events. This center has a wonderful staff that ensures that everyone feels wanted and appreciated. The two swimming areas are wonderful. One for all ages and the second for serious swimmers. There are a number of different water classes that extend to children, active adults and the elderly to address their concerns. There are different activity based classes again for the active, to the more basic to keep the older adults in better physical health. I also enjoy that there are activities to sign up for, whether it be for gatherings for dinners or to have organized dinner theater excursions. I could go on, but this is a great place to be.
