Friendly and helpful staff. Over the years, only one staff person was not helpful— an elderly white woman who accused me of lying when I reported someone had taken my keys. This person was very nasty and condescending and did not make a report. Had to call AAA to get in my car and family to deliver a set of keys. After a couple of days, the keys showed up. I kept calling but had she filed a report and took my information, I would have gotten my keys back earlier. I later learned that one of the persons in the class found my keys in her bag when she got home. They had been placed there by someone else. I no longer see this person, but used to cringe every time I saw her and felt she was racist and would have been more helpful if I were White.
The Y is a good place for any kind of exercise. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Good classes with great teacher
Class leaders are excellent. Very helpful at the front desk
It’s not too far away.
Great selection of group classes.
Knowledgeable personnel trainers.
I enjoy the free weight room.
Very nice gym, great pool and workout space.
Keep in mind I am almost 84 years old, so my exercise pattern has changed over the past 6-8 years. Key elements for me now are: Warm-up exercises, fast walk around the indoor track (1-2 miles), weight room for free weights and overhead weights to finish my morning workout. Swimming means a great deal and I often swim, but mostly in the summer when the gym is warmer.Whatever I'm usually at the "Y" for about 1 1/2 hours.
I've been a member for quite a few years which meant a great deal to me when I was younger preparing for distancer runs and an occasional Triathlon.
Thank you for this opportunity.

Older adult activities and Enhanced Fitness class.
Equipment is well maintained and exceptional service from staff.
Great facilities. Friendly staff
One of the best teachers, Amy, made me feel welcome and helped me get started taking three classes. I've been at the Y for years, but this is the first time I felt welcomed into classes. It has made such a change in my life. I've seen real, measurable improvements in my health, and I feel like I belong! I'm grateful and tell my friends all the time about the Y. I'm 68 and a cancer survivor, and I've seen improvements in all measures of my health. The Y is the best place to go in the city. Shout out to Amy!
