It's comfortable; most people are friendly; the management is solid; the classes are really really good; there's not a lot of turnover in teachers, they've been there for years and they're really good; you have a Body Balance class every day (or almost every day); it's definitely a community, not just a gym. I belong to another gym closer to my home, which is much nicer physically/asthetically, but the classes are nowhere near as good as the Y, and it's not as much of a community, they play the music really loud trying to be hip, and they have all the fancy stuff but in my opinion it doesn't compare to the Parkville YMCA. I drive 20 miles to get here I like it so much. It is a gem!!!

Friendly staff and many programs to choose from. However, the scheduling system is very difficult to use and it seems like even the staff struggle to get it work correctly.
It has everything I need to stay fit. Equipment is rarely inoperable..

Great classes and instructors. Variety of equipment. Clean and well maintained.
Enjoying the Monday Silver Sneakers class at 11:30. It provides more cardio along with resistance and weights than the Wednesday and Friday classes at 12:30. Thank you for offering this Monday class.
I love the facilities at the Parkville YMCA! They have great staff members that are always friendly and extremely helpful and nice. Awesome pool, steam room, sauna, and hot tub. Great indoor track, group workout sessions and awesome personal trainers!! If you are looking for a family friendly gym, the Parkville YMCA is for you!

It is clean and up to has up-to-date machines. It is comfortable to walk in air conditioned air on the 2nd floor track.
