That now the pool area is open thru regular hours and doesn't close in the middle of the day. The way it should be.
There’s something for everyone. The facility is up to date and always clean.
A membership overall is an excellent value. About PCCCS specifically, the facility is maintained well, the staff are great, the class schedule has a good variety of class styles, and I like the availability of amenities.
Joining the Y was easy and stress-free. My coach, Melissa, is awesome! She provided a very detailed orientation and walked me through all the equipment, classes, and training opportunities. She was so helpful and patient in assuring me that I don't have to be shy about working out, as everyone is supportive and non-judgmental. I've never belonged to a gym before, so this is new for me, and I have to say I'm encouraged by the wide range of opportunities to improve mind, body, and spirit.
Everyone is friendly
This facility offers a variety of classes and work out equipment to meet anyone's needs. The front desk staff is wonderful. They are friendly, knowledgeable and care about the people to come in. Most of them have been there several years, so that says a lot. The instructors of the various classes are excellent.
Where they do fall short is the general maintenance. The gym area needs to be painted badly. Hasn't had that done since the major remodel, 8 to 10 years ago. The flooring needs to be repaired, there are fillers in between the "wood like" strips that has come out.
The swimming pool looks disgusting. Last year they changed the water but did not spray clean the interior. The sides and flooring are brown. I compare it to changing the bath water but never cleaning the tub itself. This is certainly not a draw to new members who may want to use the pool facilities.
The coffee room needs chair railing around the walls. There is broken sheet rock material where furniture comes in contact with the walls.
As a side comment, this facility used to have a breakfast to honor veterans. They served pancakes, eggs and such. The last couple of years they put a table next to the entrance with cut in half muffins. That's just disgraceful.

I like everything about this YMCA. They offer some of the best exercise equipment . The class instructors are top notch. Staff is professional.

I appreciate the survey about new schedule times. It still seems to be a little clunky. I think you tend to be too stuck on the MWF/TR consistency with class times. This is something that exists only in college life - and honestly it isn't even the norm anymore in college. I know we have to give it some time to see how it works and I love that you're trying to see what works but maybe consider that trying to fit into this MWF/TR box might be what's constricting you?
