It has become obvious to me that Math Education needs a new paradigm. Being a linear chain of dependencies, a student can't afford to fail to master one, let alone many, components along the way. Very few students survive the 25-1 student teacher method for 8-12 years. The only solution is a commitment to blend outside instruction to ensure that no child is left behind in Math. Mathnasium has helped our 16 year old go back and pick up all that he'd missed, which has now become useful in PreCalc. What's more, he's actually energized by each aha moment in his catch-up. Finally, Mathnasium goes a step further and teaches the student how to think his way to the solution. There's no shame in seeking augmentation through Mathnasium, in fact this ought to be the paradigm from 3rd grade.

In the short time we have been with Mathnasium, our daughter's confidence has boosted and math scores have improved. She has a positive outlook on math and is excited about how much she has accomplished.

Since my son has been going to Mathnasium, I have noiticed that he can rationalize math in many ways. For example, when I was young, I memorized my multiplication facts and that was all I knew. My son is able to process the number in his head using a different method if he forgets the answer. While he still has his struggles, I feel like he is building a good foundation for the future. Also, my son really likes the instructors at Mathnasium and I have found them to be very helpful and responsive. We have been going for about a year and I appreciate the continuous feedback on his progress.

Mathnasium is a great place to learn. My son loves the reward system for prizes to encourage him to push himself to the next level. The staff are friendly & laid back and they provide parents updates via email to track your child's progress. My son has been excelling in math & loves learning

Mathnasium did a great job of identifying holes in our daughter's mastery of key concepts. With sensitivity to her learning style and knowledge of her specific needs they supported her progress. The pace of learning was surprisingly fast. She loved the Mathnasium team and looked forward to her time there. Nice job Mathnasium!

My daughters loved the people working at the Lake Oswego location. The people were friendly and enjoyed working with kids. I liked that they had a challenge problem every week. The incentive program worked. We look forward to returning in the winter.
We have been going to Mathnasium for about a month and daughter is gaining a better understanding of her basic math skills that are a foundation for years to come. The instructors have been very patient and helpful.

We are a long-time Mathnasium family. We love how the practice at Mathnasium has helped my 6th grader keep up with content and class. She is proud when something new is introduced at school and she has already seen it or practiced it. The instructors are kind and friendly to my daughter. They communicate well with parents and adjust the plan when adjustments need to be made. We are grateful for this service but we also wish your rates were not going up.
Instructors have great command of material and are well schooled in conveying that knowledge to students' different learning styles. Program well designed to individualize learning and pace in line with grade level parameters. Bottom line take always: Knowledge and confidence!
Our daughter was struggling in math after relocating from the East Coast. Her high school counselor suggested Mathnasium and we couldn't be more pleased. She is learning the basics of math that she didn't know in an environment that is extremely comfortable for her. Her confidence level is icing on the cake!
Their teaching style keeps kids interested and wanting to learn more. My daughter is now 9 years old and has been going there since she was 6 1/2. Tuition though is very expensive.

super friendly staff and a fun environment for kids to learn and grow. Not only do they do math, but they also make it fun with games too. My kids enjoy going and learning.
One of my children needed extra support and another needed extra enrichment. Mathnasium and all the wonderful teachers provide both. We are so happy to attend!
