Tutoring which helps kids but unlike other programs, parents are not tasked with making sure that kids learn and understand. Great program.
I’m thankful that the center was able to pivot to virtual learning during the pandemic. Rachel does an awesome job running the facility and the instructors are knowledgeable.
Communication is always great with Rachel's branch. If I have any questions about the curriculum or have any needs integrating my child's current schoolwork with theMathnasium curriculum it is easily able to be done. Any questions regarding what and why certain concepts are being taught can also be validated and shown by past pretests and work done by my child during Mathnasium sessions. Rachel has also done a great job letting me know where she plans for my child to be by showing me a lesson plan that outlines the next stages, etc.
Mathnasium of Burke is amazing. The online appointment system allows me to make and change appointments that fit with children's schedule. There have been a few times that conflicts occurred, but Ms. Rachel is always available to help with a solution from rescheduling that day or later in the week.
My children enjoy their tutors. These young men and women encourage my kids to take risks and provide fabulous explanations when confusion occurs. As my youngest said the other day: "It is a good thing that I have Mathnasium because it allows me to stay ahead of the class."
Rachael has always been attentive and helpful. Always communicating Our child’s progress. We have enjoyed the virtual learning sessions. We honestly prefer the convenience of virtual learning vs going to a bldg.
Mathnasium was great before COVID 19 and has been completely invaluable during these uncertain times. They made a smooth transition to virtual learning and scheduling learning times is very easy. They make sure that our son continues to understand and move forward with math.
Everything has been great during the whole transition period and Rachel has been great with communicating with me to make sure my expectations of what I expect my child to learn are met. My child recently got into the advanced academic program and had to catch up for this year and Rachel and her team were very accommodating and knew exactly how to change up my child's curriculum.
Rachel is amazing and always going above and beyond to help us. Neev enjoys his class and has improved since we joined.

My daughter hated math and avoided every time I tried to make her do some math workbook. I signed her up when COVID distance learning started because she was behind her peers. Now she doesn’t mind studying math. She says “they (Mathnasium) teaches the way I understand better.” Thanks Mathnasium for enabling my daughter to catch up and enjoy learning math.

Content are great. Instructors are knowledgeable. However, it would be better if material or instructor provides students a different way of thinking to simplify or come up with solutions easier and faster. For example: 99+99 or 100+100-2
Mathnasium has helped tremendously! Math used to be a daily struggle to complete homework. With about 7 months of Mathnasium, homework was easily completed and just found out that my child was recommended for AAP in math! Thank you Mathnasium.

When FCPS closed their doors because of Covid, I was very concerned about my daughter. I wasn't sure how she would continue learning without an implemented curriculum. She was already attending Mathnasum. It was her 2nd year. I really worried about her falling behind, especially with math. Thank goodness Mathnasium kicked into online mode, and we never missed a beat in math. The online environment is still one on one, and the Mathnasium teachers picked up where my daughter had left off. I am very grateful that she will continue to learn, even if FCPS never open again this year.

Rachel and her staff are amazing! We have been with them for almost a year and have been thrilled at the progress our child has been making. Their response to the Covid outbreak has been wonderful. Communication on how they were transitioning to on-line lessons in lieu of in person was terrific. The on-line solution has worked like a charm!
My 7th grader’s math skills improved by 40%, she no longer hates it, and she was also placed in Honors Algebra for her 8th grade year.
My child was not showing confidence in math before mathinsium .now she likes it as much as she likes other subjects.the crew at mathinsim are all great.they don’t give up until she understand what she did not understand.at the same time the director in the center Rachel is well organized.she knows what areas kids needs to work when they first arrive to the center with the exams given.now my child class switched to online.it is the best.I recommend parents to try this program for all age kids.

I love how they teach math. They listened and provided immediate corrections when needed. The only one that I could think they can do better is to push kids to do a bit more especially when the kid has lost the focus on the work. One math sheet for an hour seems to be too little in my opinion.
