I love the workout & the atmosphere! The only reason I didn’t give this a 10 is because of the price. It is one of the more expensive gym memberships I’ve seen and when I’ve told those I’m friends w about the price of the gym, they are not as open to joining. They are interested in the class and I’ve hyped up the class, but the cost has turned friends away that would’ve otherwise joined!

The staff is down to earth and the regular customers are friendly. The atmosphere is inspiring and it feels like we are all in it together.
MAD is where I have felt most safe to ironically go beyond my comfort zone and see what my body can do without compromising my health. Big shoutout to coach Eric for being an incredible coach and creating an awesome local fitness community too!

Amazing trainers and vibrant supportive environment
The unparalleled coaching is pretty hard to beat, but what made me commit to a year membership was the community. What Sarah and Drew are building at ALX is extremely special. In a couple short months they’ve encouraged me and pushed me to regain my self worth through the grueling workouts.
Having never been to another MADabolic gym, I assumed this “community vibe” was just the corporate standard. However after visiting the Southend location, I immediately knew ALX was special. No shade towards Southend but it just seemed cold and like I was another number.
Community aside, the coaching is also phenomenal. Whether its the competent and precise movement demos or the quick on the spot adjustments. It’s always added value and makes me a better “athlete”.
I can’t recommend MADabolic ALX enough!!!

I love how knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about their jobs the trainers are. They aren’t just going through the motions - they pay attention and provide corrections when necessary and praise when it’s merited.
Love MAD’s programming and strength driven training. Each workout feels challenging, with consistency you will absolutely see and feel progress. They offer plenty of movement clinics to help members improve form and increase productivity.The coaches are amazing and knowledgeable, the music is great and MAD feels like a community both inside and outside of the gym!

Love that MAD does not promote a "need to workout" for at least an hour a day, 6 days a week mentality. Your programing is effective, realistic and keeps me coming back for more. The trainers at my location, particularly Drew and Sarah correct me in a nonjudgmental and inspiring way. Love this gym!

I am a founding member with Dupont and have been with MAD for 10.5 months now. I have enjoyed the workouts, the structure of the class, and the fact that I know what to expect every time I walk in the door. Eric wouldn't let anyone on the training floor, student or coach, exhibit poor or dangerous form. As a reformed crossfitter, I appreciate MAD's focus on quality of reps and not the number of reps.
The members/community
Everything! The trainers are not only knowledgeable about the workouts and movements, but they are super engaged during class and invested in making sure everyone is doing a movement correctly. You get the one-on-one attention of a personal training session with the atmosphere of a group class. It also doesn't foster a competitive environment, like some other gyms can. Everyone there is trying to get better but in a really enjoyable and supportive environment.
Great staff, great atmosphere, playlists are solid and match the intensity of the workout, and trainers are excellent at training movement and making you feel welcome. Everyone should go!
