What kid doesn’t love learning how to play their favorite rock song? However, doing it alone or online without a program or instruction quickly gets you nowhere. School Of Rock has figured out a method/formula. And it works so well because of the staff they hire in the culture each location is uniquely known for. You’re over a year. We have a great experience.
We did guitar lessons for our child while our regular teacher was away as well as a couple of weeks of summer camp. The teachers are knowledgeable and great with kids and staff are super friendly and helpful. Everyone is chill and everything had a fun, yet professional vibe. I appreciate that they take children’s interest in music seriously and treat the children with respect and kindness as musicians. The structure of the program reflects that philosophy and gives the students a cool rock and roll experience. I highly recommend it.
The staff at School of Rock is talented and positive in their teaching. Learning new skills to perform in front of others takes a bit of courage and support. These instructors are quite supportive and it has made all of the difference!
It allows children to express their musical talent, builds self-confident and strong friendships. SOR provides a supportive and caring environment to all students.
Our son had a great summer camp experience. He enjoyed the camp and said all the other kids who participated were super nice. The final performance was awesome especially considering the kids only had a week to prepare. My son already asked if he can participate next year.
My daughter likes how responsive the instructors are. You need something they get to you about it right away. Teachers are really nice and fun.
We love that our daughter has found community at school of rock! She is so excited to be apart of a band and performances! She has really grown in her interest and knowledge of music and instruments. We are so proud of her and we are also proud to be apart of this program! We would recommend this to any child showing interest in music.
My daughter loves how fun and engaging her class is (Rookies). I love how many different aspects of music theory that are covered at such a young age.

My son absolutely loved Metal Camp!! I think it would be great if more camps like this were offered. It seemed to be a great success, based off of the live performance. I know you offer other camps, such as pop music camp, but other non-mainstream choices would be great, in my opinion. Everyone is playing Taylor Swift and Green Day, the kids who love Judas Priest and Dio also need more chances to play.

Our son has grown a lot in a short amount of time with SoR Oceanside. We are thrilled with his progress and his interest in music. We appreciate the leadership of Matt and Nikki and the teaching of all the instructors.
My son loves School of Rock! As a child who grew up in a musical home and taught himself how to play his instruments by ear, he really appreciates the less formal approach to lessons here. Jesse is his drum instructor and he enjoys lessons with him tremendously! He’s got a laid back attitude and is very encouraging. My son has learned and improved so much already only after a few lessons with him. I appreciate that after my son’s 30 minute lessons, he is allowed to use any unused practice room with drums for an additional 30 minutes to independently practice what he’s learned in his lessons. The full band practices is what my son enjoys the most, not just for the social aspect but it’s exposing him to more music styles and teaching him how to work as a team, improvise, and adjust based on what the band needs as a whole. It’s very cool that they hold actual performances so friends and family can cheer the kids on and students can learn stage presence.
My child looks forward to jamming out every week and feels part of an awesome community! He’s so happy and encouraged at School of Rock.

We love that the kids have the opportunity to participate in a rock band. It's one thing to learn an instrument. It's another to be able to practice timing and meshing with other instruments and vocals. That's what makes School of Rock special and unique.
Its fun for our daughter, she loves the Rock 101 class. Your staff is amazing also. They are ready and willing to assist, they are courteous and kind and above all they ROCK! Thank you.
I love that not only do you offer lessons but also performances to tie it all together! It can get a little pricey but it’s worth it.
