I love that the classes are short and fun. Just enough to keep you wanting to come back. I also love the instructors. My usual instructor, Clint, is great. He is very knowledgeable and likes to just dive in to playing songs, which I love. But I also love the subs because they have different ways of teaching and they go over the basics like rudiments and form. Putting all the techniques together I feel like I have a well-rounded education in drumming!

My daughter has been taking lessons and joining the performance bands for about 6 years now. She not only has learned so much musically, but also learned how to play with others. She really enjoys playing now! I never have to tell her to practice!
I like that the kids get a try out all different instruments and you guys have really fun songs and then we start listening to the rock songs in the car. It’s just a lot of fun. However, the deterrent away from his camp is that it’s so dang expensive is the most expensive camp weeklong camp in the city of Houston

It's been a great experience for Jack, he's really blossomed as a musician and he's made some real friendships with his SoR band mates. We're looking forward to seeing how house band can continue to keep him challenged.
I really like that we are taught technique, but quickly progress into learning songs. It keeps things fun and goal oriented.

School of Rock Palos Verdes has changed my son's life! Melinda and Jeff Doll have created a safe, enriching space for kids of all ages and ability levels to explore making different kinds of music, playing in bands, and connecting with new people. Every instructor (including Melinda, Jeff, and their talented children) is unique and incredible. SORPV's unique combination of the Doll Family, their instructors, and the families and students has a synergy that the community has needed since I was a child growing up there. As a doctoral-level board certified behavior analyst and education specialist, I was pleased to see that the Dolls value inclusion and go the extra mile to ensure that children with learning and behavior differences are able to participate, build friendships, and learn how to do something that is super cool outside of school. Is always a good vibe in there, either we're talking about 1 on 1 lessons or the adult program reharsals. The coaches know what they're doing and they are all cool people. I'm always having a good time when i am there and i feel I'm making progress with every lesson
School of Rock is a great example of "learning by doing." Students get instruction and theory with a one-on-one teacher, but the bonus of immediately playing with a band is such a cool way to learn an instrument.
