Our child enjoyed learning new songs and getting to know kids in the area who were also interested in playing in a band. The performances at the end are fun and make the kids feel like they are on their way to playing at a large stadium one day.
My daughter was excited how quickly they were able to get into making songs. She appreciated her teacher and bandmates.
I like the camaraderie of the adult performance group. All of the instructors seem more than competent. They also seem strongly committed to teaching and inspiring their students music (despite the fact that they don’t get paid nearly as much as they should). I’m enjoying my SOR Atlanta experience more than anything in a long time!
I have only a couple of couple of complaints:
1. Some of the equipment is in poor condition, and difficult if not impossible to use.
2. Many of the performance venues have been absolutely terrible. For example, the Stave Room is totally unsuitable for live music performances. The acoustics were BAD! The performers paid $150 each on top of tuition for a place to play. It is reasonable to expect a quality place to perform given the tuition and performance fees we pay.
Great opportunity to have my child interact with like interested kids, have fun, and progress in an instrument. Good times!
The program is well structured to prepare the kids for a performance in only one week.
Variety of programs and great staff
It’s a fun, non-judgemental, learning environment. The staff are very friendly, and dedicated to teaching kids & adults of all ages. My son looks forward to his weekly guitar lessons and performance group! This has been a great “outlet” for my Teen.

Kids have fun. Grandson learned about different musical instruments. Seems like a really great place for kids to learn about music.

Great introduction to instruments
What I like is that, after years of unsuccessfully trying to get my son interested in music, a five day camp with you turned him around. He now listens to music and is excited to practice playing guitar.

Great atmosphere, supportive and welcoming
The Rookies camp was a perfect introduction to learning music. They made in fun and accessible and my son couldn’t wait to go back every day.
I Love that the programs are created to have fun while learning. personally my experience has been PHENOMENAL!! The Teachers are amazing! and encouraging that is so essential!! I Love that the atmosphere is creative and it doesn't matter if you are a novice or advanced there is inclusiveness for all levels. Last but not Least Jora and Adam are amazing human beings and I am truly grateful I found the School of Rock Plymouth where I am free to bring my authentic self and learn from some of the greatest!!!
I am a huge fan of performance based learning and the way it helps shape young musicians. Pair that with an inclusive environment where kids feel welcomed and free to express themselves and then you'll understand what makes School of Rock an absolute gem!
It was a really fun camp. I’m not making it public because I do have one complaint. There was a girl in their group that wasn’t cooperative and took away from the fun experience. I don’t think that should be allowed, she should have been removed or told to behave.
Besides that they had a good time and it was fun for them to learn the different instruments.
The staff is great. My daughter absolutely loved her camp. I'd highly recommend if your child is into music

We were hoping for a way to build a love of music and excitement to play an instrument in our son without pressure or nagging. The Rookies camp was a perfect fit. He was able to explore instruments, and able to capture the joy of playing "real" music with a band through the support of his teachers. They encouraged him to take on challenges, and when he felt frustrated they backed off before he grew wary. We are now looking at different drum set options.
