My daughter did the rookie camp and she really enjoyed it. She had a positive experience and learned about new music and enjoyed trying different instruments.
Camp provides a great opportunity for students to try different instruments. The instructors are encouraging, fun and kind. 1 week is the perfect time to try it out.

Our daughter has been with School of Rock for eight years. School of Rock has helped her expand her musical knowledge with all the different programs they offer. All of the instructors has been great and she has learned so much from each one of them. She has made many new friends and learned how to function together as a band. I have recommended School of Rock to anyone who say their child is interested in learning anything musical. Thank you Jerry, Bea, Eric and Kevin. We appreciate everything y’all have done to help our daughter grow musically

School of Rock is a great community! Each student is greeted by their first name when they walk in; I think that alone creates a welcoming environment even for the shiest of kids. The instructors are enthusiastic which in turn gets the kids enthusiastic! Not only are they enthusiastic, but they do not put pressure on their students to be perfect. There is an open communication between the instructor and their student. My daughter had a rough practice complete with tears and Olivia was sympathetic allowing my daughter to be frustrated, but also provided her comfort and advice. She didn’t dismiss her feelings. I truly appreciated that, and so did my daughter!

I am eternally grateful for the School of Rock at Port Jefferson, it is a magic place where my kids are flourishing and discovering music as their own strength. Thank you for embracing my rebel teenager daughter and my Autistic son. They both fit in, The School of Rock at Port Jefferson is an inclusive and safe environment for children in the spectrum, all neurodiverse and neurotypical.
Flexibility, great teachers. My son (5) has so much fun with Mr Matt when he’s there, and is actually learning drums in the process.
Stella is an amazing vocal teacher. Within the first month of me being taught by her, I can already notice improvements in my voice. She works with my learning speed and never feel like the lessons were too fast or too slow. I feel like she personalizes her lessons depending on the style of my voice, which helps me learn what my voice is like and what songs go best with my voice. However, she's not afraid to get me out of my comfort zone with I HIGHLY appreciate. I am a vocal amateur so I don't know even *how* to get out of my comfort zone or what even my comfort zone was. But Stella guides me through it and, even though I'm no singing prodigy, now I am more confident than ever with my voice.

They are great with the students. Wonderful music teachers. They encourage the students to challenge themselves with many different music to choose from. Many different venues for the students to have their concerts. Most of all the students have fun and become great musicians.
