Teachers and other staff always aim for the highest standards when it comes to music instruction and performance, and admin-related issues. We like how strictly everyone takes the code of conduct, and how wholesome and friendly an environment this is for our child. She has fun, and it's not stuffy or restrictive, but there are still boundaries for good behaviour and expressiveness within limits. It must be a tough line to walk, and we certainly appreciate everything leadership and every single other staff member do to maintain it. Dealing with front office staff is always a pleasure for us, and they are responsive and organized (not always a given in this post-pandemic landscape). School of Rock is expensive, but we feel we get our money's worth. Thank you for putting in the work. It is not going unnoticed.

The instructors are very invested into the students. Students are able to apply what they are learning to real performances which make it fun and keeps the students always eager to learn.

Just finished the first adult program and performance at Hinsdale school of rock. Staff across the schools is top notch and a special shout out to John Nugent for helping us cross the fishing line and making our first adult performance program a resounding success!

There is just one thing that I want to suggest to the School. I wish there is a levelling where teachers measure what level they are. If they are still begineer or advanced now and they can start playing something advance..

Options for instruments and group experience
My daughter has been going to SOR for years. She takes private lessons, participates in the Performance Bands, and is in House Band. We have watched her get better and better... and more confident.

SOR Madison is amazing!! Everyone who works there is fantastic and great with the kids/teens. They offer band which is unique and have really good groups each time it’s been a great experience - highly recommend!
