My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive was a VERY positive one. Everyone I came in contact with, both in person and by phone was very professional, friendly, helpful and genuine. From the moment I first made contact and speaking with James about making an appointment and what their procedure was for new customers and what I needed to do for them to look at my car, diagnose and repair it. I felt like my car & I were both in good hands. When I was contacted about my car and work to be done, Mary was calm and clear about what they were going to do and what could expect from them, as well as what my options were. I spoke with James several times and he was always professional and helpful. When he told me when my car would be ready & when I could expect to pick it up, told him I had no way to get there and he told me that the have a shuttle service for their customers. I gladly took him up on the offer & when called to let me my car was finished and ready for me to pick up, asked if I still wanted their shuttle to come and get me. I said yes, when can they be here. He answered,”Are you ready now?” I told him I could be ready in 10 minutes and ten minutes later I got a call from my driveway letting me know they were here! Now, That’s customer service! I had pleasant drive from my home in clean car and a nice conversation with their drive, who also friendly & professional. When we got the shop, the driver smiled and told me “Thank you” and opened & held the door for me!! I have to say, I’m not sure the EVER had a young person do that. Manners are SO rare these days. Especially with many of young people. Even now, I’m just at a loss for words. I can only say what I said then, “Thank YOU”.
When I walked in the door at that time, it the first time I had ever been inside the building. It was clean and several customers were sitting, patiently waiting. Mary was just finishing up a call when I got to the counter. She hung up, told me her name & asked how she could help me. I couldn’t believe it. I had only stepped out of the car less than one minute ago and I was already being addressed and assisted. We also had a short, but pleasant conversation. She explained my bill to me, I paid it and I was on my way. I went to my car, got in & everything looked exactly like it was when I dropped it off. I held my breath as I put the key in the ignition and started it. And? It started right up & sounded better than it had in a long time. I’m sure the smile on my face was huge. FINALLY! My car ran & felt like it should. I listened to every sound the car made all the way home. I drove it fast. I drove it slowly and had the windows down to hear it better. All I heard was the sound of a car, a member of our family, that had been a GREAT car for nearly 17 years until last year almost to the day, it just stopped running. It stopped at the stoplight right outside of the Longterm parking lot at the Tampa airport. At 5AM. My wife was trying to make a very early flight to California to spend the last few days of her brother’s life with him. She was able to start the car one last time. She drove it the first open spot she saw, parked and it died again. She texted me to let me know what had happened and sent a photo of where the car was & made her flight. 2 days later her brother died of cancer but she was right there with him, his wife & daughter until the end.
Since that day, that car has cost us over $6,000 in repair bills, has been in & out of the shop 5 times! And car STILL had to be towed into Christian Brothers to be worked on. I mean to be fixed. I’m sorry for rambling & taking you on the journey down memory lane, that was the only way to share exactly how much this meant to us. Please accept my heart felt & most sincere thank you. I feel like someone finally drove the truck away that has been parked on my chest for the last year. Please share my thoughts with the others on your team. You have a great team and a winning combination there and a brand new loyal customer here. From this day forward all mechanical work done on any of our vehicles, will go straight to you. I promise if you ever ask for my opinion again, I will keep it short. Thank you.
