All of the staff worked hard to make sure we could accomplish what we needed to do. I especially appreciated Anson who worked hard to make sure that our needs were met.

As the movers were loading the POD I noticed they did not place a blanket (I had purchased several for the move) on my walnut table to protect it from the stairclimbing machine they were getting ready to place beside it. I asked them to stop and protect it and I walked away. A few days later I noticed that they placed a blanket over the table but did not completely cover it. Subsequently, it made a large gouge in the wood. It was late at night and the POD company was due to pick up the POD the next morning so I had to call a local manual labor gentleman to come and move the stairclimber to protect my table. Luckily, I noticed this before the POD was moved because it would have caused irreparable damage to a very expensive piece.

The movers were efficient and customer oriented
I was initially very happy with the service I received, especially since it was raining and miserable. However, when I went to bed last night, my bed basically fell apart and my box springs ended up on the floor. When we looked at it, there were screws loose and/or missing. We ended up having to take the bed apart and tighten all the screws and replace the missing ones.
The only personnel issue I had was Connor talked a lot… and sometimes he would stop working when he was talking. I have used Meathead Movers 3 times in the past and this is the first time that the guys have gone over the initial time frame. This move was $300.00 more than the quote which was disappointing since we only had furniture and 10 boxes. I understand that wrapping and unwrapping the furniture took a lot of extra time, but in my opinion, there should have been 3 movers instead of 2, especially knowing with the weather, that everything would need to be wrapped.
All in all, it was a successful move and I appreciate Orlando’s hard work and professionalism.
