Instructional and discipline based
I like that each week they discuss a different sportsmanship value. I also like that the coaches try to rotate the players evenly. However, I think the pre-trophy speech given by the I-9 person (coach? coordinator?) defined everything I like about this program. He not only thanked the parents, but made the kids hug their parents to reinforce what he was saying. He also had the kids name the sportsmanship values and then explained how the values relate to the kids' lives outside of football. I think this is an organization that cares about helping kids grow up into good people and good citizens.
