We asked for a relaxing massage and got a deep tissue painful massage.

I am sorry for the miscommunication. In the future, we will ask the client if they wanted Swedish or deep tissue so that the therapists can handle the sessions properly.

Fix the online purchases of GC with $25 bonus cards so that the recipient received the $25 bonus card. My 2 sons purchased 2 separate $100 GC for me for Mother’s Day. Neither of them received the $25 bonus cards in their emails. They checked several times. I even asked a receptionist to help contact corporate, but this was also not successful.

My husband and I had a couple appt this past Saturday and the massages were not competed as they typically are. I left in low pain than I came in - isn’t get everything massaged like we typically do and it was awful. I’ve never had this kind of experience. For newer employees, I figured they would’ve been supervised or trained better than they were.

I have always been able to make my next month appointment when I get my massage. This past Friday I was told many don't want to work late hours and October schedule is not up. Might be time to go else where.

Every massage I have had was a bit different but always great. The facility is very clean . Everyone is so nice . It is just a pleasure to visit !
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff
I can't always get in with my fave therapist (in fact, I think he's gone now), and right now time and money are a little tight. So I choose a time that works for me and hope that all of the therapists will be good choices based on the bios provided online. I have had two bad experiences in a row now and I can't afford to keep wasting money and time. This massage the other day - the therapist would not do firm pressure. I wouldn't even say it was medium pressure except on my neck. I wasn't requesting deep tissue by any means (she said she doesn't do deep tissue after I asked for firm pressure, but firm pressure and deep tissue are not the same). Light pressure actually annoys me and leaves me feeling worse than without a massage at all. Also, she offered an up-sell on the oil while I was in the room which had never happened to me before, but that in itself didn't bother me. I declined, but then the oil she used felt thick and goopy like mineral oil. And there was a lot of it left on me. I had to wipe down with the sheet before putting my clothes on. Maybe other people don't moisturize their skin like I do (she complimented me on that) but I clearly did not need that much oil. Other than feeling sleepy from being in a dark quiet room, I didn't feel relaxed at all.
My massage before that also was with someone who used very light pressure. And she seemed to be going through an embarrassing physical problem during the session. I felt for her. Honestly, it was a miserable experience but I didn't say anything at the time because I felt so bad for her.
In both cases, I gave a full tip.
I know firm pressure is more taxing on massage therapists, but you all need to put accurate detailed descriptions on the website for all of the therapists so we know what we are getting. Otherwise I have had good experiences here, but right now I don't plan to return.
Wendy, I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your sessions. I only wish you had said something as I would have corrected this on the spot for you. If you have a specific request such as pressure, I would suggest talking to us as no two persons deep pressure is the same and we can make suggestions for you. Both of the therapists that you chose are highly rated and are specifically trained to not use a lot of pressure as stated in their bios. As far as the lotion and cream, we haven't made any changes to what we use, so not sure what happened with your session. Again, it is always better to say something directly to us so that we can match you up accordingly. Thanks Duane, Owner

Robert was phenomenal. He put so much care into my pain points, what I was needing, and making sure I was comfortable the entire time. It seems like LaVida cares about their people and makes sure it’s a great experience for everyone.

Eva always gives me a great deep massage with soothing music in the backround. The office staff are very friendly and always willing to help with any scheduling problem. I have recommended La Vida to many friends.
