Shay was very helpful when I was at the restaurant. I ordered elotes to go but I asked for it steamed. When I received it, the husk was still on the ear of corn. It was not seasoned. I asked Shay (who was standing at the register) for some of the cheese that it is usually served with to go. She was friendly and pleasant. The female bartender was supposed to give me $.60 change and she only gave me two quarters. I do not know why she did not give me my exact change. I called her over and asked for my dime. She told me, "I do not have a dime, I have 10 pennies." I told her that was fine. She never did explain when she felt the need to keep my 10 cents. Whether it is 10 cents or one dollar it irks me when servers do not give me my entire amount of change. Alma is one of my favorite restaurants so I will be returning.

When you first opened the food was eh, OK. And the portions seemed small for the price. The food has improved and the portions are now reasonable. The service has always been very good.
Great food, reasonable price for a weekday lunch. Clearly a professionally run restaurant. I normally sit at the bar and the bartender is super friendly, prompt.
We loved our entire experience. The service was attentive, cocktail refreshing and reasonably priced. The menu was developed with distinction and arrived in a good pace. The birthday house leche was so delish we had to eat it even though we were full. As with all of the Fifth Group restaurants, the portion are satisfying and are a fair value for the fare.
It was an interesting decor. The outside seating was set up for several large groups- this made for a good spirited tone to one area( and avoided feeling crowded in the restaurant).
The only negative, the sauce dishes had ships , and another table mention their China also had a chip. Hygiene and aesthetic suggests you cultivate a new supplier.
Menu was so different, but in a good way. The food was excellent!!!
