I like the friendly staff. They have seen my kids grow throughout the years, it's like family. I like the variety of classes, activities, and wellness initiatives at the Y.
I like that there are many class options and times to accommodate varying schedules. The instructors are very nice and make up classes were offfered when sessions were missed.
One thing I didn't like was that during evening swim classes there were people rec swimming in the same area that lessons were occurring. I think life guards should tell people to go in a different area or signs should be posted telling people to avoid certain areas during lesson times.
Great variety of programs and equipment '
Just getting started but very much appreciated the personal touch of the reps at the front desk, the clear explanation of services and benefits and especially like the feature of access to a coach for a number of visits and possibility to get an assessment from a trainer. Feels like the investment is a good overall value. Now it's up to me to spend more time at the Y.
I was raised and born in southwest Philadelphia as I got older coming out of the military I've always belong to a YMCA Cheltenham Avenue Green Street and Lancaster YMCA Coatesville YMCA and Brandywine and the nice to come to the downtown West Chester why years ago over 20-something years ago and the wires wonderful I love going to the Y it's a very inspirational atmosphere and helping families and young young men's Christian Association
Group fitness, swimming lessons, child care
Our family feels such a strong sense of community at the airport rd YMCA. The kids love participating in activities and always come away from y programs happy and excited to go back.
We enjoy the outdoor and indoor pools and the upstairs fitness area the most.
Thank you!
Plenty of equipment. Very clean facility. Nice staff
Love my aquatics classes and Silver Fit. Happy to have access to WC Y to swim with my two year old granddaughter at least once a week.
The YMCA on Airport Rd is a very complete and comprehensive Y.
The only suggestion I have is that the Men' Locker Room is way too small...
I have been to other Y's and they definitely have more lockers, showers, sinks, benches, etc...With more additional space, it makes for a more enjoyable experience without bumping into others.
Thank you.
I like the hours and the variety of opportunities for exercise.
The staff is very friendly and the facility is spotless!
We can use all branches near to us. Loads of great activities for us all to do
sense of community
personal training
the excellent staff and leadership
Ease of facility use and range of hours. Lots of options at gym.
The Y is just a comfortable place to be. No matter what you do
There is genuine concern from the staff regarding its membership. Staff members are not only welcoming and supportive, they listen to member needs and respond in positive, constructive ways. What is truly heartening is the lack of a phony "game-face" by the staff. Here, the staff cares and provides support. It's part of the pride staff members feel for the organization, its membership, and its expansive efforts to welcome all people despite their ethnicity and socio-economic standing. It's reassuringly welcoming at a time when exclusivity seems to be the norm.
The instructors are very nice and accommodating to children. My daughter's swim teacher took time to encourage her rather than force her which was very appreciated.
very short drive from where I live; no problem parking when using before 8am on weekdays; staff friendly and knowledgeable; treadmill and other equipment always available.
Occasionally I go in the evening - and park in the parking garage - for a minimal charge.

I can work in the fitness area and I like how they have classes ...and I like the track outside of the fitness room...
good training for the kids and the trainer was good as well
.
First of all, my son really enjoyed the lessons. Instructors are very skillful and very friendly.
Family oriented, inexpensive fun events and a very friendly staff
I like playing gaga and going to the pool. I think it was good that we have added pool and gaga time in our schedules. We play other games such as capture the flag, kick ball, and others. The songs that we sing in the morning of the day are fun to sing and dance along to. Another great thing about camp is the field trips we go on like wall climbing, Grand Slam, etc. The topic of the weeks such as around the world, world carnival, and holiday are very fun as well.
Y camp and outdoor pool
My daughter loved the programs. Mother would like better field trips for example Herrs, a farm Brandywine park , a small zoo and maybe a museum in Philadelphia
I love the classes most of all, especially zumba with Kelly and Patty. I also like the frequency of classes so that if my schedule changes I often have another option that day for something like Body Pump. The indoor track is nice too. Finally, I appreciate the low-key community feel, the diversity and inclusiveness.
