Helpful assessment and lesson planning.
Joanne is very proactive and willing to work with our kids to maximize their learning. It has been very helpful for my middle schooler. My high schooler didn't find it quite as helpful. He's taking Algebra 2 Honors, and found that some of the instructors were not able to help him. That said, Joanne did offer to have him work exclusively with the one instructor that my son liked.
Amazing staff
The East Pasadena location is amazing - Ms. Joann and her staff run a tight ship here, and we always come to this location even though there are other, more convenient Mathnasium locations near us.
Very dedicated group of tutors. They all work together towards the student's goals. I'm very happy so far.

It’s so great that my son never complains or objects to going to Mathnasium. And, it’s such a great relief for me not to have to worry about helping him with his math homework since the way math is done has really changed since I was a kid. Mathnasium has been a real life saver, both for my son and me.
My daughter started attending Mathenisum approximately 2 months ago and she loves it!! Can’t say enough great things about this place. They have the best (“coolest”) instructors.
She loves the balance of freedom and instruction. She always asks to go to the center without my suggesting it and she comes home happy and excited to learn more. She proudly walks around in the Mathenasium t-shirt that she earned and (I’m not even kidding), she won’t let us wash it! 😂

My daughter has no problem to come to Mathnasium. All the staff there are really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
The stuff is wonderful, very kind, friendly and helpful also very patient with kids. My kid’s math improved within 3 months. Not only they’re comfortable with math now but the progress is outstanding. My daughter who is a 7th grader had little struggle with math in certain areas within couple months we felt a major difference, she just took her placement test a week ago her math level shows she is a 10th grade level. Of course it depends on a child, every child is deferent but we feel Mathnasium really helped our kids. We’re very happy and satisfied, will be continuing.
I found Mathnesium to be a program that prepared my son with the skills to prepare him for the upcoming school year. Also, they're were tutors who very knowledgeable about the various concepts in math.

I love the personalized attention each tutor gives to myself and my daughter. It is a warm and friendly learning environment, not rushed and very safe. Thank you.
We love the one-on-one instruction in addition to the great communication between the director and my daughter (and ourselves). I always have the feeling that they care about my daughter and want her to improve and learn. Their priority is building confidence in her math skills and use positive reinforcement to help her enjoy math.
All the tutors at Mathnasium were wonderful and patient with Alex. Their techniques and teaching skills have worked well with him as he advances towards 6th grade. I cannot thank Joann and her team on how wonderful of a job they are doing with our kids. Absolutely amazing!
The director of the center is great where she continue to show great leadership in leading her staffs in coaching the kids. She also engaged directly with the kids and they seems to be very comfortable with her. We are happy with the Mathnasium teaching techniques where our kid is taught “how to fish, instead of given the fish” and developed the understanding of math.
My daughter’s grade went up by a letter grade and she Met the Standard on the SBAC State test in Math. The staff at Mathnasium is very helpful and compassionate.

Monika likes to go to her math sessions at Mathnasium. She is making some nice progress and she seems to enjoy math more. She even showed me one of the "math tricks" she learned last week.

As an area of improvement, I would love to see a less noisy environment. It seems quite loud and busy when I am there to drop off.

Mathnasium has helped Owen immensely. I am blown away at the knowledge and effectiveness of the teachers. They always understand exactly what he is working on and teach him different techniques to solve the problems. He enjoys the teachers, is able to focus and is learning better habits, like using more space to show his work in an organized way.
My son is so much more confident in his math studies now. He looks forward to coming to Mathnasium.
My boys continue to like this environment and academically they have improved so much. Wish I knew of it earlier but so happy my boys are going. Love the flexibility that is available for working parents. This is the only program that has worked after trying so many.
