Advocacy for the industry
I became active in the BIA as a means to increase my business. After becoming active on several committees and Boards, I understood the purpose of the organization was to help builders build more homes. Who could resist an organization who main purpose was to make the American dream come true?
You can be a member of the organization on paper or you can choose to become really involved. It's my experience that the more involved you are - the more you really care about the purpose - the more you will personally benefit from the organization.
Business to business interaction.
