This particular visit wasn’t as pleasant as my prior visits. I have a nerve stimulator in my back. The required information regarding the turning off of the nerve stimulator was not conveyed to me at the time of the appointment schedule. I learned the requirements piecemeal. At the appointment, I was asked for the ID on the Medtronic card that I am required to have with me at all times. I arrived for the appointment but did not have the remote to turn off the stimulator and had to reschedule. I was called on a Thursday prior to my appointment on Monday and told that I needed to bring my Medtronic card into the M&S Clinic or my appointment would have to be rescheduled. I took the card into the office. I arrived for my 7:00 appointment at 6:30 am, only to be told that the technician said that he could not do my MRI until 8:00 when the doctor came in to verify that everything was in order with my remote. I was called back around 9:20 for the MRI. I turned off the nerve stimulator, which was verified by the technician. I left the M&S Clinic around 10:00. I feel that a protocol should be written on doing an MRI on a patient with a nerve stimulator, so that all technicians can review.
