We love our newly transformed kitchen, designed and installed by Juan Crespi and his excellent team of Kitchen Tune-Up in McKinney, TX! We recently moved to Texas and while we love our new house, we didn't love our kitchen. We had a miniature island that was useless and the kitchen layout offered little work space or storage. We found it difficult to be in the kitchen at the same time to prepare and cook meals, which we both like to do. The challenge Juan and his team had was to make the kitchen more functional and to make the aesthetic environment more welcoming and warm. Kitchen Tune-Up met the challenge and more! Juan designed a beautiful kitchen island complete with butcher block that provides us with a bounty of counter and storage space for food preparation. It's a cook's dream! The cabinet doors were all replaced with beautifully made Shaker doors and many bottom cabinets were replaced with custom made drawers with fronts in the same Shaker design. The elegant Dolomite Tesoro Bianco countertop and backsplash are the frosting on the cake! We can both be in the kitchen at the same time now, happily preparing and cooking, easily and efficiently. Our grandchildren love the newly expanded window seat where they can sit to eat and do projects!
We are grateful to Juan, Dan, and Jacob for their excellent craftsmanship, keen design sense, and overall good humor. They were a delight to work with -- Juan oversaw the details of the project with attention and responsiveness, and a creative eye. Dan and Jacob worked diligently each day and always cleaned up their workspace before they left. We were able to access our kitchen throughout the project, which was a huge plus.
