I have been using Fitness Together for almost two years now. When I began, I was not lighting weights but regularly walked, hiked and did some light weight workouts. My balance was not great as I had bouts of vertigo and I had some aching in my left hip. I was 58 years old when I started and my goal was to not be a burden on myself or my family as I age as well as increase strength, and improve my balance.
Initially, I lost quite a bit of weight(20#) while also increasing my strength significantly. My balance has improved significantly and I haven't had a bout of vertigo, but the biggest win has been my hip.
I used to feel the aching when laying on my side and would have to flip sides every hour or so because of the ache it would cause. I had considered a PRP injection, having known several folks who had good results, but the program that my trainer, Jason, has devised has all but eliminated my hip pain. The last six months the ache is a rare occurrence.
Jason added in hex bar deadlifts, a bunch of single leg deadlift variations and he increases the weights and difficulty every new phase. Each phase last 4-6 weeks depending how frequently you go. I currently go 3X per week and that has helped me make some good gains in muscle mass.
All the trainers you work with are great! I have referred several folks to Fitness Together and one signed up!
