One of the group exercise instructors suggested that I try the Egym at Skyline to get started with weight lifting and it has been great! I highly recommend this to everyone who is a beginner. The machine does all the tracking for you. You will build strength without feeling like you are punishing yourself. I have been doing cardio workouts for a long time but I was never one to lift weights. Now I have less back pain and normal lifting is less of a struggle when I am doing things around the house.
