I love the curriculum provided for my children. My almost 3 year old has learned a lot in his 2.5 years at the academy. I’m excited to see what the future brings for my 9 month old and am pleased with the progress I’ve seen my kids make while attending. I trust the staff and know when I drop them off they’re in good hands which makes my life less stressful while I’m at work. It’s nice how the kids are engaged in projects and building friendships while learning to be respectful of their teachers.
A few areas of improvement which are not huge deals:
-I miss the hours being 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM
- It would be helpful for the menu to be loaded on Tadpoles Weekly
- Some days I don’t get full reports, the ending of nap time is not included or a meal is not documented
- My child has been sent home in the Academies clothes when he has weather appropriate clothes in his cubby
- For a short period my toddlers teacher was spelling his name wrong on things which I did address with her as this is an important thing to know and learn early on.
- Hours were shortened for 2 weeks back in the winter due to staffing issues which impacted my work schedule and pay, but I had to pay full price for tuition. Thankfully the situation was temporary.
- I’ve seen a lot of teachers leaving which is upsetting but I also know that staffing is an issue everywhere.
Overall I’m very pleased with KA and the staff at Collegeville. If I ever have a concern Miss Katie, Miss Kayla, and Miss Molly are always able to address it in a timely fashion.
