Service Master jumped into action as soon as our property manager called them. We had a sad situation where a pot filler on the stove was left on while our vacation rental house sat empty and spent over a week pouring water into our beautiful new kitchen.
The damage was on the stove, the cabinetry under the stove, the hardwood floor under the cabinetry, the appliances in the kitchen, the basement under the kitchen, the bathroom in the basement under the kitchen and the bathroom next to the kitchen! It is amazing how much damage can be done by one pot filler.
When our property manager found the damage and chose to call Service Master, it was because she was confident in their abilities to snap into action and mitigate further damage immediately. This is exactly what they did. They were there that very evening, set up fans, separated the areas with damage from other parts of the house so the damage wouldn't spread, they moved heaven and earth in our kitchen to find all the spots that were affected in order to dry them out.
The drying process was thorough and took several weeks, at which point, Service Master was able to handle every single aspect of restoring our beautiful home and kitchen to its former glory. They worked well with the insurance company and submitted realistic proposals that were easily approved.
When they started the work, there were some hard deadlines to meet in order for the property to be rental ready for the summer season. I was in touch with their project manager and president of the company on a sometimes daily basis, and was absolutely thrilled with how beautifully the place was restored. Hardwood flooring is impeccable again, the cabinetry that had been badly damaged was refurbished or rebuilt depending on what made sense, beadboard wainscoting in bathroom was rebuilt, drywall was patched and replaced beautifully, and then paint was matched perfectly, new carpet was installed in several contiguous rooms in the basement due to water damage.
It all came together beautifully, and really, no one would ever know how bad the damage was. I would wholeheartedly recommend Service Master for restoration, and really would love to use them for remodeling, painting, carpentry and project management if they were in that business too. They were there for the worst of times and made sure our vacation rental house was available for the best of times.
