I have used Merry Maids for about a decade. My home is large (4600+) square feet, two levels, multiple floor finishes (tile, carpet and wood). The home has a lot of natural light coming in and shows every floor spot, smears on dark granite countertops and stainless steel applicances...not to mention dust on wood and ceiling fans.. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a weekly or even bi-weekly cleaning, so I keep things up on a weekly level myself, but cannot get the floors myself any longer to do aging body. I have very tall ceilings, and two full levels of living, five bathrooms, a full bar area. So, it is a hard home to clean.
I do my best to make cleaning resos in advance. They assigned a team leader to me, and she usually brings two other cleaning ladies (sometimes a man) with her and it normally takes them about 3 hours to get it done. That would basically transfer into a couple of days by myself. Once in a while they will miss something, as in not wiping down the outside of kitchen cabinets or dusting ceiling fans, but overall they get it done to my satisfaction. And if I point out something in advance they make sure and get it taken care of.
The home was brand new when we moved in and after 11 years, is starting to show its age with nicks in wood window trim, well-used kitchen cook top, etc...but with their help, it still shines when cleaned well.
